Well I had a quick play with it when I first got 8.1, but setting my region to US ruined a lot of stuff so I turned it back. Nice to finally have her back.

Ots not her though its some British accent that doesn't do half the stuff Jen Taylors cortana does. Most of it is pointless like tell me a joke for instance but it gives cortana a more human side. If you ask the UK one that she just displays a bloody Bing search!

Amazon have them for £150, the 625 is slightly less and in my opinion is nicer.

It is twice the size though. The 620 is unique in the WP line-up for being a smaller device, which is appealing to a lot of people. Not sure why MS haven't jumped on the 'mini' bandwagon yet.

Anyway, eBay is probably your best bet. They tend to go for around £100 for a new unlocked model.

I'm impressed with the way videos play within the web page instead of going full screen, do Android and iPhone also do this now?

EE are essentially last with the Cyan update for every Lumia model they support. On my 920, they are the only mobile company yet to approve the update.

Does anyone know if I could I install the Country Variant firmware through NSU for retail?

Do you have the preview version? You need to get the update 1 for 8.1 that includes the uk beta of cortana

Do you have an unlocked phone or one tied to a provider. If it's the former, the update will arrive with everyone else, probably within the next month or so. If it's the latter, it depends on when your carrier decides to issue the update. If that's EE, be prepared for a long wait.

Of course, it's dead easy to sign up for the developer preview, even I managed it. So do that.

If anyone has been waiting for the EE Cyan update for the 920, it turned up this morning.

My son has Cortana on his 920. He got it by changing the settings to US or something. I can find out exactly what he did if anyone is interested.

Yes?

You needed to do that on the dev preview, but cortana is in the full lease without doing that.

Anyone know what the Nokia Lumia 530 is like? Just getting a phone for my dad, no need for it to be fancy, just intuitive and fast enough to use.
