Yeah the lower sales of WP isn't Microsofts fault, they have made a great os, great services the issue is that Google are so anti M'soft they have made it difficult and cases actively blocked WP accessing their services so that people cant move from Andro to WP.

If M'soft did some of the stuff Google they have done they would get so much gooseberry fool.

Project Spartan, which will replace metro Internet Explorer has the address bar at the top, might take some getting used to. I assume that the address bar disappears unless you drag the page up, and the tools (tabs, favourites...) are all permanently displayed at the bottom.

My Lumia has physical buttons so I can't tell if this is new, but you can now have a light task bar..

The preview has a feature that allows you to quickly revert back to Windows 8, lower specced phones don't have the built in storage to support this.

Yeah you need a minimum of 8gb storage which I have on the SD, and it is on the list of supported but says no.

Are Microsoft planning on rebranding all existing Lumias? Only I'm tempted to get a Lumia 835 and don't want a phone with a Nokia logo on it.

They will be doing the new ones as they come out but I dont think they will change the name on ones already released if they have Nokia on them.

Hmm, could always wait for the 740. I really like the 735 but the camera might be a weak point.

i dunno why you care so much about the name! my 1520 screen has separated from the case sent it away and expect them to say i have to pay which means i will use my insurance or argue it with them. Got a 630 open box from currys ebay and im loving it cost 60 quid and it works really well. luckily its one of the windows 10 insider phones so got windows 10 on it. bit laggy and stuff but it works ok. AS for the names mine says nokia on it but inside it says microsoft mobile. think actual brand new models say microsoft but i dunno why you would wait make no difference

 :fp:

No, they won't. The limited edition gold 930's still have the Nokia logo on them, even though they were only released last month.

As far as I know though they won't be releasing any new models with the Nokia brand name.

You people seriously believe they're going to use the Microsoft name some new Lumias and the Nokia name for other new ones?

Of course the new Lumias won't be Nokia branded. But they aren't going to start rebranding existing phones, that would be silly.

I can see Microsoft launching a bunch of Lumias around Windows 10's launch (around September), so might upgrade then.

The Lumia 640 is looking pretty great for the price:

There's a single sim version too.

Looks like a proper successor to the 620.
