I just had a go on Sol 1 from 2048. Wonderful track. Got a proper sense of vertigo playing it!

The handling has improved immensely over the years.

I went back to Wipeout 1 a few years ago and was like 'how the hell did I ever play this properly'.

The speed hit you would take from scuffing the wall was incredible. '2097' was the first Wipeout I ever played. Much better than Wipeout 1.

Scary thought: 2097 is twenty years old! Crazy.

Ignoring how good this gane looks, something needs to be said about the sounds. Not just the music but when you pass other vehicles or mines or bombs etc the sound is just phenomenal

I now own this game. I haven't even opened the cellophane yet but I know that we need to get WipEout Wednesdays back on the road.

Dual is a boss at wipeout

Looking at picking it up for my birthday next month.
