PostWireless Charger Help
by RichardUK » Wed Sep 26, 2018 1:11 am

I have wanted a wireless charger for a while but was holding off for Apples AirPower but with no mention of it at the recent Apple event I just purchased the first one I found for sale in Tesco (I think it may be a old model) it’s a Belkin one, photo below

My problem is that it doesn’t work, well it works for around 5 minutes, I put my phone on and the light flashes green and the phone is charging, 5 minutes later (or less) the light starts flashing red and then shortly after the light goes off completely and it stops charging

My question is has anyone else had this issue? Is it the charger or my iPhone? can anyone recommend a good wireless charger? could the usb plug I’m using be csuseing the issue?

Thank you in advance for any help :)

It seems weird that it starts charging but then stops. Things to check:

Input specifications on the bottom of that charger match or are bettered by output on the USB plug you're using. It'll be 5V but you just need to make sure the plug is giving it enough amps.

The phone hasn't been moved while on the pad. The wireless charging area is actually pretty small and needs good alignment.

The phone isn't full charged...?

Thank you for the reply, so after reading your message I thought I’d change the usb plug for another one (I always use a fold up Apple one, it’s on every night to charge my Apple Watch) so thought I’d try a cheap amazon one and it now works fine! I don’t know why I didn’t try it before or what the issue is with the other plug as it works fine with everything else
