The whole 'oh your harming the industry' is the biggest pile of wankery ever, if I had no intention of ever paying then no loss in sale there really is there?

1. Like getting on a train without a ticket and trying to argue you did nothing wrong because you weren't ever going to pay.
2. If piracy wasn't an option to you I bet there's a price higher than £0.00 that you'd pay to play it, which literally makes it a lost sale.

You're paying nothing only because it's the cheapest price available to you, not because you deem the product to have zero value.

Going by the price history of the previous 2 Wolfenstein games (and Doom, I think) this will be available on the cheap, through legit means, soon enough. (I've seen Wolf go for about £9 in PSN sales and the expansion for about £5, maybe even less than that.) So y'know, makes pirating it seem that much worse than usual.

But, I haven't pirated it :slol:

I was just making a point about having zero problems with pirating games when I do the same for movies and tv shows and many of those who download movies and tv shows but then try and berate you for doing so with games are just strawberry floating hypocrites.

I had seen New Order was £3-4 a few weeks back on CDkeys then when I wanted to get it during the week it wasn't there and they only had the new one up for sale. Didn't want to pay the £15 on Steam for something I've seen at such a low price elsewhere but did get it as soon as it was back to being available on CDkeys before Brer posted that.

I'm not berating anyone, I like you garly youre a nice bloke, so I'm not judging or anything just saying its a bit shitty to post about a game that wasn't even released being up for pirating. If anyone deserves legit sales, its machinegames.
Weve probably all pirated something at some point in our lives so I doubt any of us are without sin in that regard. Personally, in my opinion, I pirate TV shows but don't feel too guilty about it because I have a sky subscription, a Netflix sub, and I pay a TV license meaning I spend about a grand a year on TV. So the odd episode of game of thrones or something here and there, strawberry float it. With games I just feel like its obviously a pretty big thing to all of us or we wouldn't be on a discussion forum talking about them, so id like to see studios like MG do well and sell lots of copies so they can make Wolf 3. Games are my primary hobby so id like to see them continue to get made, especially in an era where lootboxes and microtransactions are being frontloaded into single player games, titles like Wolf 2 that are pure singleplayer games are an anomaly that id like to see more of.

I know you're joking, but for video game publishers isn't the first few weeks of sales a huge deal?

Yes, but I think that's primarily down to pricing. Less and less people are willing to pay full price when it's the not the hottest new thing anymore.

I think it'll do just fine, though. The only platform it isn't out on is the only one Mario is, so it's not entirely a "one or the other" situation.

I saw the Collector's Edition today in-person. If you're a fan of 60s Action Man, it's really amazing. Truly fantastic.

It's behind a massive cardboard sleeve though, designed to look like a humongous PS4 game box.

For £60 I think it's great value.

Yeah sorry Brer didn't mean you specifically. I'll get the new game but won't be for a while I have more than enough to see me through into the new year and that includes my New Order play through. I'm a cynical bastard who probably comes across like a right banana splits the majority of the time :datass:

Alright, I'm out for the time being. I'm pretty sure my strawberry floating youtube homepage just spoiled a returning character of sorts. Going dark until I can get my hands on it.

The writing and acting in this is just.. wow. Some of the best stuff ive ever come across. A side characters death actually just made me go "ah gooseberry fool no!!", as opposed to most other games where a side character dies and youre like "who was that guy again?"

This is one of the only games where the platinum and a load of other trophies show as not been got by anyone yet!

I am really enjoying this game. It's the small touches that make it. The trial is strawberry floated up.

Yeah I got that too. Didn't bother me too much tho as realistically he was in the very first Wolfenstein 3D so not a huge surprise!

Is the first game worth getting and playing from a single player perspective?

Not really played many fps that aren’t open world for years but this looks like a lot of fun but wondering if i’ll be missing out by skipping the previous game.

Online fps aren’t my thing. I enjoy narrative focused games in general and liking the setting of this game from the trailers i’ve seen.

I would definitely recommend playing the first, not only because the story carries on from there, but because it's a damn good game in it's own right. Should be able to find a copy reasonably cheap as well.

Though this one does start with a recap to get you up to speed, you'll have a much better idea of what's happening if you've played New Order first. I've never finished The Old Blood but I don't think that has any impact.

Check out some of our stuff!
