Finished it.

Brilliant stuff. Suitably briliant, over the top ending, the whole game had a mad mix of over the top gun play with a massively serious story which you could talk about and relate to for hours. After a slow start, I enjoyed it massively. The ubercommado thing was gooseberry fool though. Had no bearing on the game right?

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

Playing through this now. It’s epic. Story is insane but hilarious. I think from his old house, interaction with his dad, leading to the Court room and what follows is so funny and just enjoyable.

There are some difficulty spikes but I’m persisting with ‘terror-billy’ and at times you die very quickly. Stealth and the silenced pistol is essential.

:toot: Excellent choice.

Just started this after finishing the main story in Assasins Creed. It's exactly what I wanted it to be and then some. I wondered if it might have aged a bit but the world is made with such care and incredible art design that it hasn't aged a day. I was worried that the combat might be a bit gooseberry fool as that seems to be the biggest complaint about TNC but I love the hectic running around, firing from the hip rather than hiding behind a box picking off head shots. Also, how has the upgrade system not been copied? What a great way to add incentive to additional goals while playing.

Can't wait to get stuck into the series  .

No idea how it compares to the PS4 and Xbox One versions (I guess they're a fair bit better?) but it looks pretty good so far considering it's an offscreen YouTube video, hopefully a release isn't too far away.

Switch version looks very impressive, yeah it's only 30fps but dam to get this game to run on the console is an achievement in itself.

it seems silly they are not bringing the first Wolfenstein to Switch as well, I would have considered double dipping if they were both on Switch

After playing Doom on Switch I'm definitely getting this too. Very talented devs to pull it off.

While I enjoyed this I didn't rate it as highly as a lot of people seemed to. Some of the difficulty spikes really made me think about just giving up on the game and I'll confess I had to alter my difficulty mid play through to finish it. Still, when it's good there's fun to be had. 7/10

The only real difficult part I experienced was the courtroom, died countless times and had me raging like strawberry float.

Probably won't be picking it up at launch then, I'll have Crash Bandicoot on July 10th and Octopath Traveller on the 13th of July to fill up my summer gaming time. Maybe when it goes on sale later in the year for myself then.

How does this compare to Doom? Better? Worse?

I started playing The Old Blood and I might have to give up, the first section with the super soldiers is genuinely one of the worst sections of a computer game that I've ever played. Does it get better than this? There was nothing even close to being this bad in The New Order.

*Edit* Ok it's not so bad, it turns out you can just abandon stealth

Keep that in mind for Wolf II.

Out of curiosity, would you recommend playing Wolf 2 on the big screen before trying it on the Switch. I really like Doom on the Switch but I do wonder if being familiar with the levels has made it more enjoyable.

Fortunately I just had a couple of night shifts that we fairly quite so got to give the Switch version a decent go. For some reason I've come into this thinking that the general consensus was that people were disappointed with this? I strawberry floating love it. Wolfenstein has quickly shot up to being one of my favourite franchises ever, however The New Order took my a while to get to grips with the gameplay and a had a problem with the start of The Old Blood but I've gone into this fully in tune with how to play Wolf and it's everything I hoped it would be. As stupid as it might sound is somehow even more enjoyable because I'm playing it on a handheld which really shouldn't be possible. When the Switch was announced this is exactly the type of experience I hour we'd get along side the Nintendo games.

I've just gotten to to the part where my health is now back up to 100. It's a shame they decided to go for a generic story telling trope to get to that point*.

*What the actual strawberry float
