It's life affirmingly glorious :3

If need be, you can always do the same to me with the Disney Afternoon Collection. But don't do that :'D

TBH, I'll grab the game on Steam most likely. I'd rather not pay extra on Switch and the only benefit for the Switch version over the others is that it's portable, I don't take my switch on the go, so it's got no value for me.

Steam version isn't out until June though.

Only a bit into Mouse Man's area but this is easily one of the best game remakes I've ever played, major kudos to the devs and I really hope this does well for them!

EDIT: Oh wait, having looked it up the original release supported the FM sound? Wow had no idea, very happy they included it regardless.

The trailer on the eShop looks fantastic. Urge to buy rising...

Finished :D

Lovely remake overall and it was such a treat to revisit this gem with such a beautiful aesthetic update, not to mention the ease with which you can swap to the original visuals+music. It's pretty much the new gold standard for retro remakes on that front.

If I'm honest though, I think the game on Normal (which somewhat resembles the original game's difficulty) may be too frustrating for a lot of folks, it pushed my patience as I forgot how reliant WB3 is on grinding+getting specific equipment. Certain segments are gruellingly punishing if you're not set up the right way, and the backtracking needed in those cases can be pretty annoying.

As such, I'd probably recommend easy mode on the first run for most folks, all the while keeping an FAQ handy just in case. It's likely how I'll replay it in future runs, as the game doesn't particularly benefit from those frustrating elements.

Still recommended then, but as I say just be aware this is a 1989 game with some of the obtuse trappings of a game from that era, and don't feel you're wimping out by going on easy.

Even with all that said I still had a big dumb smile on my face playing it :) Progressing through it still feels immensely rewarding, and the platforming+combat is still very engaging.

I found two of those areas, was so confused by the first one I came across ha. That being the mouse one, which has a bugger of a jump to a ceiling that I couldn't land for the life of me

Just seen that you can intentionally get the game stuck in a split between old and new.

I picked this up the other day. It's absolutely gorgeous looking, and the music is incredible!

I've been really enjoying it, but I think I'm a bit lost at this point. I haven't resorted to a guide yet, but I'll probably need one eventually.
