Yeah, I've still got the periodic table poster I bought when I was doing 'A' level chemistry in 1986 - each element has a photo (apart from the ones which decay very rapidly).

It's out of date now obviously, but has a certain 'Look Around You' retro charm to it.

DOH! - I was thinking of Boron. :fp:

"Phew!". Got it in six today.

I had the E and the R in the first go; but it took me four tries to get each of them in the right places and I didn't get a single other letter until the final go!

I had -O-ER after about three goes but was sweating as I didn't get either of the other two until the last guess.

This. MOWER, FOYER, BOXER all came and went until the final turn, when I don't think I had any remaining alternatives.

I was very close to getting wrecked today but got it on the final go.

Same. Evil one. Only got it because I'd eliminated so many letters, there had to be duplicates.

In 5 today.

It was tricky, wasn't it? At the start of the final go I only had two letters (both in the right place) and with a choice of Q, W, J, Z, X and C left. I spent ages trying to get my head around it!

I’m not a regular Wordle player, but today I managed to get it with my second guess, which I am quite chuffed about!

My first word guess was ‘thick’

Failed.

Am fuming. It wasn't a tough word but my letter choices just didn't work out and, on the last go, I had a choice of two letters to start the word. I chose the wrong one

Sometimes Wordle does just descend into a game of 'guess the consonant'.

Luckily I got the 'M' in my first guess:

FLAME
MOIST
GROOM
BROOM

Nice, Octo! Yeah, I only had "_RO__" going into my final go. With my remaining letters, I thought it had to be BROOM or GROOM and I went with the latter. Oh well.
