What a strike from Xhaka! Think he’s a bang average midfielder but he’s got a hit on him.

Shaqiri is so good to watch. Would be a decent signing for Liverpool.

So it's a good few hours until the next game, can we get back to the Messi vs. Ronaldo debate now? :P

Carles Puyol not being allowed on Iranian tv as a pundit for the Iran vs Spain game because his hair was too wild and un-Islamic  :fp:

I'm finding the world cup scheduling a bit odd. Why are Belgium playing at 1pm today a full 24hrs before England giving them an extra days rest before the final game? Why aren't they the last game of today for example. Mostly the fixtures work their way through group by group but occasionally you get odd anomalies like this.

It's always been that way for previous WCs. The schedule is agreed before anyone knows which team is in which group and in which group position (1,2,3 or 4).

This World Cup has a chance of being ruined from gooseberry fool decisions. Players getting wrestled to the ground in the box and nothing given, even with video assistance.

Also I'm pretty sure that foul on Hazard wasn't in the box :fp:

Hell of a game this, 3 goals in 17 minutes.

No punishment for these incidents either. I really do think I'm falling out of love with the modern game, at least the top level anyway.

I find his voice mildly irritating. He deploys the same intonation regardless of what he is saying.

I thought it was ever so marginally outside too.

Not sure what to think of this game, it’s kind of doubly bad in that Belgium have found it really easy to break down Tunisia compared to us - meaning it’s looking ominous for next Thursday - and obviously we don’t want Belgium to win, but now Tunisia have got one back it shows their fragilities at the back.

Been one of the better opening 20 minutes of the tournament, regardless.

I can almost feel the pain. What a gooseberry fool injury to pick up, but it's happened to me as well — you don't brace your leg for impact and your knee gets clipped out of place :dread:.
