I always get nostalgic/depressed during the closing montage. Feels like ages since we've seen some of the players in it.

Back to watching Boro, then. Oh God.

It’s a shame it’s all over.

They should expand the World Cup to 211 teams and have it go on for 4 months.

Ludicrous.

I think there were too many top quality strikes to choose between so they just gave up and went for a team goal.

Protest was by Pussy Riot. Brave women, I can’t imag Putin is going to take too kindly to that!

Well i doubt we'll be hearing from them again after this.

Still, a great match to end a great world cup, France played brilliantly and were worthy winners.

It's quite surprising just how slippery the inside of stadiums can get, particularly the stairs. You'd wouldn't believe the number of people who just fall down them.

If it was by them how on earth did they get in the stadium

That is a major strawberry float up by security.

I’d imagine they bought a ticket.

Sad its come to an end, but so happy that the nation finally had something to talk about at a world cup since 1992. It proves even more how the beckhams and gerrards of this world under performed or just didn’t have a good enough manager.

Roll on the euros and england better win it at wembley.

I'm gutted for Koscielny missing out on a World Cup winners medal through injury.

It must be really gutting being a Croatian fan right now having lost to two goals as a result of dubious decisions. Had croatia not got their second they could have consoled themselves a little but all I would be thinking now on the losing side is that game finished two all.

Wonder how Kalinic is feeling after refusing to come off the bench in Croatia's first game then being sent home
