I’ve watched a lot of documentaries over the years and when it comes to football hooliganism from Russia and Poland the same thing pops up every single time: how much they’re inspired by and romanticise the UK. It’s started to find its way into US supporters as well, though on a very small scale at the moment (mostly with the chanting). Very much our football heritage coming through, unfortunately.
