Thought that game was pretty bland until the end

That game was pretty bad apart from the 2 Cheryshev goals ( :wub:

) and the FK at the end. World Cup openers aren’t usually great but Saudi Arabia were awful. I really thought they were gonna get a draw. Russia were a lot better than I expected too; will be interesting to see how they do against Egypt and Uruguay, thought it was going to be those 2 going through for sure.

Tomorrow is when the real action starts.

Can’t wait for Egypt vs Uruguay and Portugal vs Spain.

Morocco vs Iran should be feisty too.

So apparently Ashley Young is going to start for England on Monday. If you'd told me 3 years ago that he'd be United and England's first choice left back I've have asked which timelines I was in :lol:

Quite impressive really for a converted winger, he's reinvented himself to ensure survival.

The way full backs are used in football today, with teams utilising wing backs more, it does make sense to convert wingers if they’re decent enough defensively.
