Poor from second half onwards, two mistakes and not taking those chances meant threw it away...

Need to find some decent central midfielders if this is the formation of the future, most of them shrunk off from it after the goal, Alli pretty much squaring up was the only thing he did in 120 minutes...

Southgate lost that with his subs, players were clearly exhausted and he waited until extra time to sub them basically wasting 30 minutes of the game

Fair play to Croatia, except the first half of normal time and small portions of the first half of extra time we really didn't look good, we should have had it put to bed after the first half but we didn't.

Still a World Cup semi final, a good result considering before the tournament I would have been happy with us getting out of the groups

Exactly. Kanes missed open goal is the reason england are out. The defending was awful and it was a game for the taking.

I think we were awful once Sterling went off. He was the only one causing them problems. Should have taken Lingard or Alli off.

To be fair, there was about two minutes of actual football after Mandzukic scored.

But that's always going to happen. Obviously that moment was when the game was "lost" for us, and their two goals were bad defending from us. But what cost us was our creativity over 120 mins, not the final 10. One shot.

If you had told me a few weeks ago that we’d be 22 minutes off of the World Cup final, I would have laughed in your face.

It’s heartbreaking, but at the same time I’m very used to this feeling.

strawberry float semi final - it would have been better to lose at the group stages if we can’t get to the final. Now theres a pointless game to play.

Yep, we've said this before but he caused problems as long as he's on the pitch. Alli hasn't really done anything bar the Sweden goal. He's not looked right and I don't really know why he stated on the pitch for the full 120 mins.
