Oh yeah, totally agree. Some of my all-time favourite games are amazing stories with crap mechanics. Oh, you were so close. Assassin's Creed has a woeful story whose faux-profundity is laughable. And the ending is a bad joke.

Mass Effect, though - thumbs way, way up.

I liked Assassins Creed, actually. The gameplay was fairly enjoyable, with the Animus providing a reasonable explanation of various unrealistic reactions within the game. I found myself wishing they'd done away with the countryside though and spent the considerable effort that they must have expended on that on some kind of satisfactory conclusion instead.

The ending was utterly crap. It's the mark of a bad ending when you don't even realise that you've SEEN it. The only way I realised that I'd clocked the game was because I recieved the achievement - which I'd noticed earlier was for "Completing Assassins Creed", or something to that effect.

Just because it's "part one" and they want to sell an Assassins Creed 2 later, is no excuse for not providing a satisfying ending for the first game.

I think Too Human did something similar. It only got properly good towards the end, and that was because Silicon Knights wanted to just have it as a run up to the trilogy.

It sounds to me like they did the opposite then. Assassins Creed is great right up until you run out of game.

Agreed with you there. It happens nearly every time I play Super Smash Bros. Brawl online with mates :evil:

And they usually get legendaries ¬_¬

Think it's based on DS games where it just touches the screen like above, where you can interact with stylus.
It's cute in DS games, I will have to admit but on Brawl it's annoying. :evil:
