When I was 5 or 6 I stole a toy robot from a doctor's surgery waiting room. I remember it was a bit battered but I thought it was really cool, it had stretchy rubber arms. I don't remember if my parents said anything. I dread to think how many sick kids had played with that thing.

When I was 18 a friend and I stole a wooden pub sign on the way home from a night out in Cardiff. Drunk students.

When I was about 8 I stole a tiny Battlestar Galactica figure (original 70s/80s series) from a 2nd cousin (he was about 4).

Pretty sure Cadburys own Rowntree now though, so it would be up to them if it ever did come back.

I stole a Kit Kat chunky from Woolworths when I was about 14 which may have also contributed to their demise.

Ate a baguette while doing the shopping in Tesco and discarded the evidence.

Used to eat strawberries when doing PYO.

Also slept with a married women but imo the onus of guilt id on her as A) she instigated it and B) she was the one who was married.

All these people doing it with married people
I highly doubt I'd ever get up to such fun.

When I was in high school, friends and I use to sneak out of my house and steal badges off cars. We were arrested taking the badge off a Porsche. The guy whose Porsche it was dropped charges. He was really nice about it, but I felt super guilty as he was only in the area to look after his sick mother.

A mate used to lift those giant bags of minstrels and cans of coke from Safeway, and once he egged me on to pinch something so I took a 5 pack of wrigleys chewing gum and got away with it. I was so wracked with guilt I contemplated taking it back and reverse shop lifting it back on to the shelf.

And that's the only bad thing I've done in my life, what a boring bastard

Lots of folks seem to have enjoyed a cheeky bit of chocolate theft in their time I see!

The question is did the contraband choc taste extra delicious or did it turn sour in the mouth?

I dunno about the adultery thing if it ends up with broken hearts and families. It's a bit like selling someone drugs, then blaming them for wanting and buying the drugs when they're caught or get hooked.

I don't understand that analogy. Who is selling the drugs?

I don't remember the age but I was young and at the garden centre with the old man. I was carrying somen weed killer or something but I absentmindedly held onto it when he got to the till and so I ended up walking out without paying for it. He didn't mind.

When I was little, my mum once accidentally walked off with a whole cod from a market stall, she was carrying loads of shopping and pushing my brothers pram so didn't notice it getting snagged on her jumper. It was massive and was just hanging from her back with its teeth

I kept trying to tell her but she kept doing the classic "not now" thing that parents do when stressed out by whining children - finally she noticed and took it back to the stall where the guy nearly pissed himself laughing when she explained what had happened.

I can remember there being a craze for stealing car badges (I blame the Beastie Boys). That was one of the few crimes I didn’t get involved with at school, I just couldn’t see the point.

I did laugh when some kid came into school all impressed that he had a Ford badge. Because they are so rare and hard to get hold of….

Yes, (according to the tabloid press at least) there was a spate of VW badge thefts when the Beasties first rose to popularity. All those years ago.
