Yes, (according to the tabloid press at least) there was a spate of VW badge thefts when the Beasties first rose to popularity. All those years ago.

I can’t remember the first wave of Beastie inspired crime. I have seen reports about it since and it sounds like the usual tabloid hysteria.

Our car badge crime wave was in the mid 90s and so probably not Beastie Boy inspired. I can’t remember why people did it, I just remember thinking it was stupid.

We actually got the badges off of some high powered sports cars. The jaguar off an old Jag and an angle off a rolls Royce. That said I wasn't around for either of those events but I saw the goods as it were.

It's a bloody stupid thing to do and I'm not even sure why I did it now myself.

I bought some expensive gear the other day as a bday gift to myself and the site gave me a code for free next day delivery. I tried to use the code but it kept erroring so I just hammered the button like 10 times.

The page bugged out and gave me free next day delivery and £50 off.

It arrived this afternoon.

Because it is facilitating someone else to give into temptation, regardless of their vows. I think a morally integral person won't allow it.

But anyway, I don't want to sound harsh, it's at least 75% onus on the married person. I consider the non-married (or married) person complicit and/or very naive in that it's not a problem, because children are and can be a huge victim of what ensues. That, is very selfish.

And I'm being unfair, because what I'm really talking about isn't just an affair (which can happen with zero consequences, often does, and some married couples don't even care if it happens or move past it without ruining the family and the kids), but living with a married person - therefore having "affairs" probably 100s of times. I don't see what I'm saying is that complicated. You can have an affair, but you can also have multiple affairs with someone, be careless and flagrant about it, break up the existing family unit and basically ruin their lives. Affairs do affect people other than the person getting their dick wet and their sex partner, don't be under any illusions everyone else is shielded from harm. It depends how shitty both people are, but to a degree, how shitty that person complicit in it also is. I can't see a way of avoiding that personally, but that's me. An affair can quickly spin into something that has consequences lasting decades, so it's not always just a silly fling.

So if you gonna go have an affair, at least put half an arse into doing it discretely so other people don't get merked.

Falsey's £50 stealing antics reminded me of the time I ordered a pair of Levi's and 2 pairs turned up. A while later the company contacted me to ask for the 2nd pair to be returned but I denied receiving them.

I think I need to be doing it to start with before I do it with a married person.

Last year I ordered a coat that cost about £80. It was a tad too small so I sent it back for a larger one. Anyway, there must have been some mix up in the exchange because they sent me back two of the new size.

Needless to say I immediately informed them of this error and returned the surplus item and definitely did not gift it to someone at Christmas.

Oh and I remembered When the special additions of lord of the rings came out on dvd I got the first one with the bookends but didn’t like the second one that came with a golum statue. So I bought the extended dvd but the cardboard was cheaper and flimsy so I went into a supermarket and bought the golum one only to go to my car, take out the dvd and exchange it for the cheaper one. Than I took it back.

I feel sorry for whoever bought it

Not really broken the law other than minor things which most people do (underage drinking, weed etc) but nothing exciting. +1 to the group who have slept with engaged/married individuals though.

I managed to get around £400 off my TV after having to send it back due to the screen being damaged during transit.

For some bizarre reason instead of sending me a replacement as requested, the shop (who I won't name) issued me a full refund and I had to order the replacement myself - during this time the price had gone back up by around £370 and after a long phonecall they agreed to give me the price difference in store credit.

I ordered the replacement which again arrived faulty, at which point I decided to exchange it for a different model, which was almost exactly the same price as the faulty TV was during the sale so shortly after TV 3 was ordered and paid for, without any influence from myself, the shop refunded me £370 directly into my bank account.

Obviously this was a mistake as the £370 was never my money to begin with and I assumed they'd realise their mistake and ask for it back - 8 months later and it would seem that they haven't noticed and I've basically got £370 for nothing.
