I got onto the careers office guys to get mine done. They were very helpful, but by the time they sorted it I managed to get the job I have now minus CV.

The layout is fine, quite nice in fact. I just need to change a few things here and there and I can't portray what I want to say

The cv's not so hard because once it's done, it's done. Covering letters are what piss me off.

You will have to hope whoever reads it is a middle-aged single woman.

Ok how does this sound

An enthusiastic individual with a dedication to grow within the media industry. Having worked for
2 + years within a small production company I have taught and developed my skills through my own independence and self-determination

This for my profile

Need more? Sound too arsey?

I wrote mine recently. It really is a pain. It's so difficult to talk yourself up without sounding really pretentious. What you've written sounds fine though. The advice from my uni's careers service was actually to tailor your CV to each job that you apply for. Yet more work!
