Every year they all do the same

Last year they didn't. IIRC.

Cardle did the Biffy cover and Rebbeca's winners song would have been "Distant Dreamer"

Wish they'd just carried on with the Coldplay songs to be honest, much more enjoyable than the utter gooseberry fool that's gone before it

Can't believe X Factor has been on for 4 hours this weekend.

I still think there's a place for the show, just needs a lot of work.

During the auditions parts they need to stop all the crap of Dermot talking to contestents before/during/after auditions. Needs to stop concentrating on the judges. Just show people trying to sing.

Then during the live show make it so the judges aren't allowed to talk at all. And don't talk to the acts before/during/after their performances.

Make the results show 20 minutes long. Stop having recaps of stuff we've just seen. Stop with the gooseberry fool backstage parts. And the bits with Murs and Flack in the audience like they were tonight.

All that crap can be put on The Xtra Factor where it can be easily avoidable. Just keep the main show basic and to the point. And reduce the amount of adbreaks.

And get rid of Louis and Kelly. And tell Gary he's not allowed to praise his act all the time or stand up to try get the audience to be louder than they already are. In fact don't even have an audience.

And unfortunately none of that will happen because without the mass adverts, the shows unprofitable.

Sucks doesn't it?

I miss the drama of the Pop Idol 'Final 50' just with a piano auditions.

This is where the BBC show the voice may work out well ad its about singing but the judges don't see contestants in auditions so its all on the voice.

There's also the fact that most people who watch the show are uneducated window lickers who love all the 'emotional' "fast forward to the next performance" bullshit.
