Xbox X10 event coming next month in SanFran

So, the rumors are true. Microsoft sent out a media advisory Monday afternoon announcing X10, an expo for showing off upcoming Xbox 360 games and add-ons (that'd be Project Natal) this year.

Microsoft hasn't held the big Xbox event since X06 in 2006. X07 was cancelled.

It ain't CES or PDC or MIX – X10 will run just four hours long on a Thursday afternoon, Feb. 11. It's at the Terra event center in San Francisco.

Some notable games on tap: "Alan Wake," "Crackdown 2," "Fable III," "Halo: Reach," "Splinter Cell Conviction," "Final Fantasy XIII" and more. (And I'm sure all y'all gamers know today's the day "Mass Effect 2" hits shelves.")

Maybe we'll find out what Rare is actually doing then.

Probably Natal games designed to bring a wider audience to 360, stuff that most people here won't want.

Anyways, hope this new tweet from Cliff Bleszinski is something to do with this event:
Kick ass news soon. VERY soon. Watch this space...

About time. I remember the X05 event prior to the 360 being really good and X06 also having lots announced.

They seem to have gone very quiet for the past two years, allowing some of their momentum to slip too I think, so it's about time they did this.

Is this the start of the Natal media blitz?

Slim to be announced here or E3?

Natal date to be confirmed here or E3?

In fact if they do those here, will they have anything for E3?

I doubt it. If there is a slim 360 announced at some point they'll need to have it in stores nearly straight away.

Alan Wake has only ever been given one release date/period - at that came at last year's E3, so i never understood people that claim the game's been eternally delayed.

I probably shouldn't get my hopes up but i really hope that Cliff Bleszinski is hinting at a Gears of War 3 announcement. Potentially It would be Microsoft's (as a publisher) best year for a while if they released Alan Wake, Crackdown 2, Fable 3, Halo Reach and Gears 3 all in the same year. :)

If this is the year Microsoft switch focus from the so called hardcore gamer, then it's not a bad way to go out.

If all those games came out then nothing would beat the 360 this year. Which is why I think at Gears3 and Fable3 may slip to 2011. :(
