As we're having a couple of friends and their two kids over later, it's unlikely I'll be adding any more.
Sorry guys. Been busy at work and not really felt like gaming this week. It's been a great ride if it ends later.

Don't worry fella, we can't be expected to spend every minute of every day gaming. I mean, I do. But I'm a bit mental.

I've given it everything guys. If you can squeeze in a little more effort then it might just be enough.

I saw this plea and jumped on Kinect Sports Season 2 at 10:45pm for 300 points but it's not enough.
It's been a pleasure serving with you chaps. (Salutes)

Yeah, we were miles away in the end, needed another 600 points to survive. Left it way too late for a big push sadly. Still, I'm really chuffed with our efforts to get this far, it's been great fun. This thread has never been so busy! Thanks so much for playing, guys. :)

We'll win it next year, right? :shifty:

Sucks that you guys don't get through, but it's still amazing effort that you guys have made this far. Well done to all of you. Hopefully next year you'll go further, for now use this as experience to look back as well something to learn from and do better next year :)

Again, kudos. I can see it was really tough competition and you all pulled together well, even with real life stuff.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to contribute at the death Heaty. It must have been crushing to put all that effort in in the final hours and see us sink even further into the drop zone :( . I've got mixed emotions about it, gutted of course after coming so far that we couldn't squeeze another week or two out of it but like I said before, I think we reached our comfortable limit a few weeks ago which for me is about 1,000 a week and each additional week becoming more demanding. I was starting to get a little obsessive about it  to the point where pretty much all my free time was spent figuring out how to unlock more Gamerscore and balancing it with a full-time job and part-time studies is kind of impossible. So, relieved, yeah, disappointed, definitely.. If you want to put a team together again for next year though I'd love to give it another bash. It's been fun :D

I know what you mean about being relieved. Feels like a bit of weight has been lifted off my shoulders, it was nice to get up this morning and not suddenly wonder where my next points were coming from. Still really enjoyed the competition overall though, especially the last minute saves! Gave my Gamerscore a really nice boost too. :)

I'll make sure to prepare for the next one by putting aside anything easy and focus on my long haul backlog for now to make it a bit easier for me. Maybe find out what this Mass Effect is  .

As a footnote to our experience, I must say I've really bloody enjoyed my gaming this week so far after being eliminated.
Without the pressure of finding quick and high-scoring achievements, I've booted up Arkham City for the first time since 2011 to continue where I left off, and earlier in the week went back to Sniper Elie V2 and completed it. All at a nice leisurely pace!
I enjoyed the competition, but normal service has resumed now. :D

For anyone getting a decent haul of points on Hexic on WP, I discovered a nice little shortcut after you've finished all 100 levels. Although booting it up in Windows 8 will recognise your level progress it does not automatically give you the completion chievos. However, I did find that if you just complete levels 33, 66 and 100 on their own, they will unlock without having to do all the other levels.

Just had a quick check on how the competition was progressing. One team was just eliminated after posting a weekly score of over 14,000.

How's everyone's cheevo hunting going? I've been finding it hard work to keep up with the pace I was keeping during the GTASC, I'm so far off my yearly target of 350,000 it's not even funny. Need to knuckle down and post some big numbers.

I think I'd only gathered around 100gs since the competition ended (for us :( ) until yesterday when me and the brother set up two TVs and two 360s side by side for some racing action. I really enjoyed the Gamerscore challenge but it nearly ruined me in the end

Since our elimination I've been trying to get this one achievement on Bejeweled + on Windows Phone. Trying to get 750,000 on the Diamond Mine mode. I'm determined to get it but four months or so of trying tells me it might be beyond... 584,000 is my best effort so far.. :fp:

Not done much of achievement gathering to be honest. I do need to go back and try to 100% Lego Pirates but I've been playing games off and on with my new Windows Phone (Nokia Lumia 1020), got 200/200 on Collapse, Temple Run and I'm working on Joyride Jetpack - loved it on Vita but feels bit hard to play on the phone.

Bump.

I've started to get some fun from achievement gathering, that and I wanted to say that Grand Theft Auto San Anderas seems to have most boring achievement list I've ever seen in GTA game! Oh well, still getting it sometime in 2015.

Borderlands PreSequel I plan to 1k on, which will take a while... but I'm trying to beat my best streak on TrueAchievements which is possible if I just earn an achievement a day.

Edit: Annnd I'm about to lost my current. :slol: :fp: Eh, it's only 12 days...

I had to stop caring about the achievement streak thing, it was becoming an obsession! Think I got it over a hundred days once, but then I was a bit paranoid every day I hadn't unlocked anything. So I've chilled out a bit now.

Aye I see what you mean, still I'd like to beat my current one at least. I don't think I'll do hundred or something though, it'd stress me out.

Only "easy" games I tend to play these days are Lego games, and that's because I love them. I just can't be arsed to force myself to rent bunch of games I probably won't like just for GS. I'm still out on look for fun but easy GS games :shifty: Especially my Windows Phone, not sure what I should get though.

Edit: Huh I still haven't lost the streak. Probably because I earned the achievements and the US timezone was before midnight? I don't know but hey cool. I just need to beat my '09 28-day streak.

I tend to just buy whatever is on sale for my WP, although it's getting to the point now where I've bought almost everything. FF3 is on sale this week, maybe I'll give that a go.

Don't forget to save some easy games for when the GTASC kicks off again next year. I want to make sure we improve on our performance this time round. :)

So...

This one goes to Heatlight I guess.. Just wanted to know if there was any backing for another GTASC trueachievements campaign? For all the torturous Saturday nights earlier this year, I had a great time postponing an early elimination which seemed imminent from the beginning with Samoza, Diceman and Heatlight. It'd be great if we could get the old gang back together :D

It was all a little much for my heart earlier this year ...
