Games.

And some details on the specs would have been nice.

Really don't know what they are doing - they will get destroyed at E3 by Sony.

Does tonguing Sony's arse ever get boring?

Massively disappointed, but I'll wait until E3 before I make a decision on it.

Sony's ducks were a better use of time than this.
At least they were rendered in real time.

This was on-par with the Wii U reveal. The only saving grace of this one was that we actually knew it was a console.

They showed the console, specs, talked about what it could do...

So what are the specs of this thing anyway?

It has 8GB of RAM and a 500GB HDD. All units come with Kinect which has a 1080p camera.

There was other stuff, but no I guess you specifically mean the CPU/GPU specs. They did mention the number of transistors in the machine (though I can't remember what that was).

They showed the console, specs, talked about what it could do, showed 1 new exclusive game and confirmed they have lots more and confirmed its launching in 2013. Oh and they announced they are creating TV series out of their biggest franchise with one of the biggest directors in the world and I guess not important for here, but the link up with NFL is huge for the US.

Not sure what else you realistically could have expected.

I thought the multitasking stuff worked really well, the interface looks good.

Only two things really missing. Firstly with all that TV stuff and a 500GB HDD...why isn't the box a PVR. Secondly, price point. Other than that it was just about perfect.

Yeah, this was the tech unveiling.

E3 is only 3 weeks away.

I like the look of the controller. The actual Xbox and Kinect look appalling though.

Quantum Break was the only interesting thing there. The mention of new IPs also, but like others said I wouldn't be surprised if those are Kinect/XBLA games.

They specifically stated that this would not be about games.

Still you got to see Forza 5, a new Remedy game, the next gen EA sports engine and CoD Ghosts. And they talked numbers of exclusives in development,

I'd agree with a lot of this.

If people are still worried about the games after next month then MS have a problem. This was about revealing the console. E3 will be about the games.

Hugo in being contrary just for the sake of it shocker.

To say they gave us specs is actually stupid.

Oh yeah gooseberry fool I forgot, they also announced that the controller has feedback capable triggers. That's pretty awesome.

Carry on watching E4, it's essentially the stereotypical Microsoft conference, right down to focus with exclusive-to-USA-entertainment. Wait for abridged version tomorrow.
