They didn't say if the F4 mods were console exclusive to Xbone, right?
I'm not on the Preview program or didn't sign up to the beta but got a Gears code 8-)

Solid showing. Looking forward to Gears Collection and Halo this year.

It's smart that they used the show to get people excited about Hololens, but that camera they do all the demos with is a little unrepresentative of what you actually see. Like when they first unveiled Kinect, I'd say that yes, it's an exciting space, but urge people not to get swept up by the slick-looking demo. It's a number of iterations away from working like you'd think.

Backwards Compatibility (Asterisk) is a great initiative, and I seriously hope they add Lost Odyssey and Tales of Vesperia to it so I can play through them without having to bring my 360 out of retirement.

The indie stuff was great, too. I like that they're focusing on the quality, rather than quantity. Hopefully it leads to a great range of titles of Ori's scope, but its somewhat undone by also starting Early Access, which is sure to be an absolute den of shite.

Tomb Raider looked an awful lot like the last one, trading splintering wood platforms for crumbling ice ones.

I'd give the conference an 8. But it's exciting to know there's plenty to come in a few more weeks.

I think the preview program is getting hammered. I can't even access the app says ''something went wrong try again''

I think that is why I didn't get the Gears code yet.

I'm watching the conference now and so far it has been pretty decent. Except for the Forza bit.

Lost Odyssey would be great again!

I got impression most 360 titles will be downloadable they just need time uploading them to live servers!

Halo looked great, Gears 4 looked rubbish but it was a very early build with it being over probably 18months.

I finished it now. That went pretty fast. Pretty good but nothing that makes you say ''HOLY gooseberry fool''.

Can't believe the Elite controller is $150 and that's without tax.

Direct conversion price over here including tax would be around £115...for a controller. They've got to be joking.

Not at all surprising. A top line gaming mouse would set you back something similar.

No.

A Keyboard perhaps, but not a mouse, unless you want to burn money. Really top quality gaming mouse can be had for £50.

I actually walked past my wife and told her I'd be getting a Bone seconds after they announced BC.
Then I watched the rest of the conference, and I'm thinking i'll save a few quid and not bother.
Rare's game looked interesting, but nothing about it screamed I need it in my life or I'm missing out. Ashen was intriguing too. But that's it for me.
I know the old joke is MS just regurgitating Halo, Fable, Gears & Forza, but it's not a joke anymore. I absolutely have no problem with anyone buying and enjoying these, but I'm 35, a bit jaded, and need something extra out of these genres now. I've played these things too many times.
I think the 360 might be my favourite console of all time; I still have about 35 discs I bought for it that I've not got around to playing, so BC would be appealing, but I remain unconvinced by the One's exclusives.
Halo is looking tired, Gears looked boring (devs still going with cover shooting when Vanquish told them how to move the genre forward strawberry floating ages ago), Tomb Raider had all the spectacle to hoodwink people they are merely imputing a few button presses every few seconds, and Fable has gone into a rather strange place indeed. Trading on the name, surely? Give that game a different name, with the same FTP concept, and I expect it will do half the downloads.
And Forza? Driveclub was a strawberry floating mess at launch. An embarrassment. But I preordered it, stuck with it, and by Christ it's a thing of beauty now. No excuse for a piss-poor launch product, but it's at a level now where I really don't need to buy a XBone to get Forza 6 involved.
I guess I'm a little gutted. I really wanted to see something in the conference to get me to rush out and get an Xbox One for Xmas, but I think Bloodborne has done something to me. I'm not prepared to accept a lack of innovation now. It's why multi format Dishonored 2 is more exciting to me than multi format Fallout 4. And No Man's Sky is the most exciting thing I want to play ever. I want new ideas and things to do, not the same gameplay mechanics, but prettier.
A very solid show from MS, but not a show that makes me grab their newest console without hesitation.
And that's my essay

Forgot about the Elite controller. Awful decision.
I would be strawberry floated off beyond belief if I kept being killed by someone who had an advantage in a mp game with it. That's not a level playing field at all.
Killed by skill = fair play.
Killed by controller advantage = strawberry float you, MS.

Love how Halo 5 will play out with this.
