Like they did with the 360, done via software for selected titles.

They have a solid line-up but it isn't exactly all this year like they said. That line-up is heavily reliant on old stuff too. Two bombs at the beginning but then it waned. No awful parts but it hasn't done anything to make me consider buying an X1. MS have done well but I expected a lot more surprises.

If Cuphead is actually an exclusive then I will never forgive them.

Me too. I said it earlier but it's a great move for winning over the 360 owners who migrated to PS4. Absolutely the biggest announcement of the evening. But this is as a person who has an old library. It's not important to newer and younger gamers, but I think it's great and what worked so well for the PS2.

Except they don't have backwards compatibility or early access games. They don't have EA Access (12 free games all week). They don't have a Halo or Gears (or Forza) equivalent at all let alone this year.

New Rare IP. New IP from Metroid Prime devs. Vegas 1 & 2 free with Seige. Elite Dangerous out today on Xbox One. Tomb Raider looked brilliant.

What do Sony have? Guardian and FF aren't close to enough.

Something about the Gears 4 trailer made it feel really off. It didn't particularly feel like Gears to me, and was horrendously dull.

And do all the E3 presenters go on the same public speaking course? They all sound exactly the same, and the monotony and identical turn of phrases grind on me after five minutes.

Rare's new work looks good, and the back category is nice. (although do we know if it lets us use our physical Xbox 360 games, or is it digital only?)

Both. You will have to stick the disc in and redownload the game to Xbox One though.

Harry Bizzle wrote:Oh and most importantly, nothing to convince me that I need to buy a One at the moment.

My brother has an xbox one, they still haven't given me a game worth even borrowing it off him to play

The conference was probably good if you like all the big xbox franchises but the only one that remotely interested me as someone who hasn't played most of them before was gears and that was only from a world design perspective; the actual gameplay had zero appeal.

Started out very strong but tailed off as it went on. Not sure why Scalebound, Crackdown and Quantam Break were all held back after seeing that.

No sign of Star Wars probably means Sony have some sort of DLC deal on that.

By the way if you own Elite on PC you can get a whole FIVE POUNDS off the X1 version.

Jesus, that post makes you sound like a 12 year old.

Do you often contemplate the complexity of life?

Yeah I agree. It's huge to seasoned gamers like you and I but I don't think it will make a massive difference to Xbox One sales overall.

I thought I only went for half a minute. Did they actually show any of the Gears 1 remake?

EDIT: Kojima on Geoff Keighley's YouTube!

I'd agree it was very safe but you can't argue with those games coming this year and backwards compatibility.

One disappointment for me was the Rare game, didn't look great or particularly fresh.

I plan on maybe building a new PC in a year or so. Until them I'm sticking with Windows 7. I don't like using Windows 8 and from what I tried of 10 it's really not much different.

That's what, like £95 for two copies of a game that still feels like an alpha

The Xbox One version of Steams early access blew my mind. Made me so happy with that Megaton.

Cuphead devs confirmed on twitter than the MS graphic was wrong. It's still coming to PC too and it has also been delayed again to 2016.

That game from the Day Z creator could be amazing.
