With Platinum making it and clearly MS providing enough money to do it right it should be great.

Going from 1080p to 4k is an insane jump. You won't be able to go back.

I thought it was a poor show. To show two consoles is just daft. Games were pretty generic, save for We Happy Few which looked interesting. Sea Of Thieves has cancelled written all over it.

From a business strategy standpoint ms have shot themselves in the foot. Who wants an xbox one now and how cheeky is it to try and end the generation so early?

So what exclusives do Microsoft have for this Christmas? Dead Rising 4 has not been announced as exclusive so I assume that will be on PS4 also. Crackdown will likely be 2017.......what am I missing?

It presumably got bumped because they've already shown it a bunch. I'm not that bothered actually.

Would have preferred to see a gameplay demo of ReCore, but I guess that will come soon enough.

It didn't really look like a complete game or anything. Just some social experiment with people pretending to be pirates.

Most concerning, and I fear the end is near for Rare.

Yeah, but the only difference will be resolution there won't be enough power for 'extra graphics' on top of that.

Exactly. The show starts with them revealing the XBO S and then asking gamers to buy it.
But then the reveal for the Scorpio at the end - why? They said it was to allow devs time to make games... But the message was really to the public, to say to gamers who are focused on PlayStation 'here is a reason to stay with us!'

I only skimmed through that demo, but what I saw of the boss fight was the guy standing completely still as the giant crab did nothing. Then when the player finally shot it, it went to a cutscene.

Each to their own, but that just seemed like a bit of a generic Platinum boss fight with some awkward slashy combat in which nothing actually seemed like it was doing anything, you were just waiting for the next stage of the fight to trigger.

I liked the open field combat of last year.

All the games seemed very dark and sombre-looking. Quite depressing, and not at all inspiring.
