Klobrille on Resetera:
Just to get that expectation right, I don't think anyone should expect a Fable announcement with a gameplay demo like what Halo Infinite will do.

I guess this will rather be in the Horizon II-trailer-like ballpark, so an in-engine trailer but somewhat indicative of what to expect

I'm getting a little hyped for this event....(just a little).

I wonder if they'll go with a simple splash screen at the end with a date and price?

Ok, like, so officially they've literally said it will be games only and no other anouncements, plus Series S hasn't been revealed yet so, there is NO chance that's happening.

Metropolis Street Racer 2?

At this point, and as annoying as it is, I think Forza Horizon is the leader for street circuit and open world arcade racing with skill combo systems, I doubt they would want to cannibalise their own market share with another one, but its not impossible I guess. Plus I imagine at this point most of the original devs for those games are at Codemasters or Playground anyway.

Did they ever put any of the other multiplayer modes into Forza? Used to love Cat and Mouse and Bulldog and the like on PGR. It used to be a staple of our weekly game nights :(

Forza horizon 4 has 12 player online party game lobbies with Zombie (1 car starts infected and has to crash into others then they are infected and on and on, last player not infected wins). King, (1 car is king and you crash into him to become king getting chased by everyone else person with longest time as king wins) and team CTF. they are in smaller areas of the open world map and are very good imo.

Have you heard any rumours about Halo? It seems like they're pushing it front and centre which hopefully means they're confident of it being a hit.

Show opens with Halo Infinite, campaign gameplay to be shown afaik.

All rumours suggest it looks incredible graphically speaking.

Anything about how it will play? Typical Halo or more open world?

No idea, only thing strongly rumoured is that it's not level based, as in, you don't do a level then load next etc, it's just one long walk about on Installation 07 (the Halo in the trailers). No idea if it will be open world or be like Gears 5 (semi open world) but also it has 1 camera, as in, camera will never cut to another, it will go outside of chief but transition from FP, outside then back in when a cutscene is over.... if that makes sense?

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to it. The semi open world of Gears 5 would work great with Halo, especially as presumably it would be easier to populate the open world parts. I wonder if they'll have some sort of leveling system. I wouldn't be surprised to see this adopt a few things from Destiny.

Can't see that being a thing, the fanbase would riot if it became a loot em up RPG lite. That's just not 'Halo'. If a spin off did it fine but not a main series entry. He needs to be able to sprint though I reckon.

Apparently Turn 10 and The Initiative helped finish the game. Turn 10 are down the road from 343i so they helped with final polish but Forza 8 is delayed till early 2021 as a result (rumour - not the helped bit but delay)

With Destiny I meant more the world structure. I agree I wouldn't want them to go full RPG, one Halo's biggest strengths is that all weapons can be good if used properly. For that reason I think a BR mode could work well.

They'd have to nerf the sniper, that's a god tier gun.

Would it be BR if you didn't get all the loot you want only to be one shoted from a mile away?

I hope they tell us about the multiplayer too, I think it's something that needs something added. I love classic Halo but I'm not sure it will attract new players.

As much as I want a Halo BR, they've said nope so many times it's unlikely. Again the rumours are something big is diff in the mp this time (maybe they diverting attention and it is a BR) but I also want to see the MP, besides, after the campaign it's what we'll be playing for years.

A variation on MAG with 128 players per side, one as the Covenant and one as the UNSC with higher tier soldiers unlocked through killstreaks and all the vehicles present and correct?

They might have missed the boat now but on the face of it Halo would be a perfect fit. Everyone already has shields, it plays great in open and closed environments, it vehicles and most importantly weapons for neutralising vehicles.

I agree that they have all the ingredients for a BR, the sheer amount of vehicles and counter weapons to them is something some BR's struggle with. If they did have a BR though I think they'd introduce a couple of more weapons though. Maybe the detachable turret type weapons will be carried easier or something. The Needler would be pointless unless folk are very near but BT's have shotguns which are similar i suppose.
