Do they actually listen to the requests you can vote for on the website? :shifty: There's loads with 10,000+ votes and I rarely see any of them coming up...

Stuntman's good. Worth a look if you see if cheap in a pre-owned bin.

some chap on reddit posted....
Found this in a store today. It's printed on the actual cover art. It's not a sticker like I thought when I first picked it up. Misprint or put out early?

GTAIV shouldn't be a surprise but I'm genuinely kind of surprised it's here. Might buy it again just to revisit it. Remember not being a huge fan of it at the time but might appreciate it's more mature tone now I'm a bit older myself

Another good addition to the back catalogue. Good that MS still seem to be committed to the BC. I wonder how much resources it takes, probably less now they have experience of emulating and that there is much less patching of existing BC games. Still it cannot be much of a buck earner overall.

They don't have to emulate the games though, the 360 hardware itself is what's being emulated. They literally just have to test the game to make sure it works, although I'm sure that's a fairly time consuming process.

In terms of it being a moneyspinner I'd bet there's been a decent upturn in people buying digital copies of these games. You ought to see the prices of games at CEX go up every time they join the program, especially things like Call Of Duty and Red Dead Redemption.

Major Nelson had a podcast with guy in charge of BC, they have to finish each game to completion (and any DLC) within the emulator to iron out any problems. That's a lot of time, they also patch the emulator constantly with each game added. You'll find games from BC a year ago run better now. I'm hoping GTA IV has a boost as it was a little choppy at times.

Runs as good as before I reckon but feels sluggish as fook, story is far more engaging than GTA V's even at the outset. Graphics are extremely blurry and controlling cars is a nightmare, you look like you're driving at 12mph then take a corner and spin out cos you've taken it too fast, got used to it though.

Something great about the time and the place that's like a retro time capsule, heard some news on the radio in pure parody form of course but it wasnt too far removed than what is actually going on now.

I felt the same when listening to the jokes while playing it last year :(

The game has aged terribly. I think GTAV might be the only truly good looking 3D GTA game. The others have always looked a bit ropey even at launch

I didn't mind the handling so much, although when playing online it was quite frustrating. Especially when you hit invisible objects that stopped you dead/made you eject out of the window

And that was free with Games With Gold three years ago, so there's no excuse not to play it now (apart from the game).
