The first thing I'll probably do on it is watch Tomb Raider, Darkest Hour and Planet Earth II on UHD.

In terms of games, it'll likely be either Shadow of the Tomb Raider or Red Dead Redemption 2. I'm sure Forza Horizon 4 will be in there at some point too via the Game Pass.

That is a good deal for an XBX.....is it rumoured to be getting a price drop soon?

You can't go wrong at £349 (with Forza 7), surely? Even if Microsoft announce a price cut in Germany next week, they'd only match it.

Good price! I paid £369 with the offer you shared (still good.) I'm guessing a new model might have a 2TB hdd? I've bought a headset. Just waiting to get some work out the way and go all in. Bought a 4K tv too and Sea of Thieves looked lovely, as did 4k Skyrim on PS4... also boosted 360 games. Games Pass is very good value. Menu looks good but is a bit fiddly. And video/image capture, lots of button presses, please try it because I'm wondering if there is a quicker way.

Capture is 2 button presses, white Home button to bring up guide then Y for screenshot or X for last 30seconds (or longer, you can set how long in settings) I don’t think it’s fiddly at all.

White?
I will try that. I've been pressing the Xbox button, going to the menu, pushing left/right to get to the capture screen then selecting video or picture and cursing Microsoft. I was hoping there was an easier way!

Yeah, there's shortcuts straight from the Xbox Home menu to save screenshots/video (So it's XBOX BUTTON, then X or Y depending on what you want to save), so you haven't got to go to the capture menu.

Little more fiddly than the PS4 and Switch but it's still reasonably straightforward if not brilliantly laid out :shifty:

Compared to PlayStations DVR it's a bit gooseberry fool. You could also use a mic to tell Cortana to record or take a screen shot.

$100 was rumoured to be getting knocked off back in June but it never transpired. After a year on sale you’d expect it though, especially at Thanksgiving.

Worst case scenario a 2TB HDD and multigame bundle.

Yeah, I was holding off until Black Friday as I was wondering if they would drop the price (especially if a new gen isn’t too far off)

As expected, Forza Horizon 2 is being delisted from the store on september 30th you can still play it through physical copies, but none of the car packs or the storm island dlc will be available. Get it while you can, folks.

It's unusual to remove a game when there are no licensing issues, so what is the rationale for Microsoft delisting the game? That they think the cheaper library game will hurt sales of a newer release, or that the older title's quality might be perceived as an unfair representation of the newer game?

Racing games are perhaps the worst for licensing issues - all the different manufacturers have to agree to have cars in the game, as well as the soundtrack. I suspect its part of whatever deal/rolling contract they have to get such a wide range of marques in forza in the first place.

The first one was supposed to be ok, the sequel is well regarded as being inferior and was panned by a lot of critics. I seem to remember the Edge review being pretty vicious.

Just collected my Xbox one s. Currently setting it up. First impressions. . .

No Wonder Sony won the battle this generation. The UI is clunky as hell and why do I need to put in my card details to use a game pass code I bought already.

It's already frozen up a few times when is talking games and trying to navigate back to the store.

It was cheap enough and I'm sure the games will be great. But the UI feels like the UI in beta.

Wish my image sig would work

It wouldn't be fit for purpose today, but I don't think the original Xbox 360 dash will ever be topped. It was just a pleasure to use.

You will enjoy playing Forza then which use the same terrible UI :dread: hopefully Horizon 4 finally ditches it

Currently downloading..... Sunset Overdrive, halo 5, gears 4, kameo, perfect dark zero .... Gotta love game pass.

Also bought Castlevania SOTN as it's my favorite game of all time and playing it on a big screen will be amazing.
