Loving Sunset Overdrive.

Also had a play on Dead Island, surprising fun.

The download sizes of Gears 4 and Halo 5 are hugeeeee. 100 gig. If I had bought the 500 gig model I'd be strawberry floated. Not used to download sizes so big. As my ps4 has about 10 games on the dashboard and tons of space.

Getting more familiar with the interface now and turned off auto renew on game pass.

Still so much left to download....

Anyone know if all Xbox 360 games will eventually become backward compatible? As I really want to play Ninety Nine Nights and it's sequel.

Wish my image sig would work

You have picked pretty much the two biggest games on the system to install there though. Obviously not all games are that big. You're right that 500GB isn't enough of course, for anyone seriously into gaming an external HDD is essential. I have 6TB of drives connected to mine and have about 2TB of free space.

You used to be able to vote for backwards compatible games to come out but they seem to have closed that now. There are some exceptions that will never come out (anything requiring a peripheral, Kinect games etc) but most stuff seems to be gradually making it's way over. It's up to the publisher to OK it at the end of the day, so I recommend bugging them about it.

Yeah Gears 4 and Halo 5 have had a couple of years of free DLC multiplayer maps and modes so clock in huge now. MCC is over 80gb too and that's joining gamepass soon. Sea of thieves is just over 10gb on X1S afaik.

When Forza Horizon 2 is delisted from the store in September, will current users ever be able to delete the install and then re-install at a later stage, or would you have to keep it installed lest it be gone forever?

You'll be able to delete and install it again.

Great news. Thanks. HDD space is such a premium!

What speed is your internet connection? I had to redownload my entire history recently because my hard drive failed (the previously mentioned 4TB) and it only took about a week.

Just setting up my X. Installation and set up took around 20 minutes - the verification process actually took the longest, for some reason.

I’m actually shocked by the quality of the UI. It’s laggier and slower than Google Android on my TV! I mean what the hell. Would love to see its performance on the original Xbox One.

Is it a second hand X1X? you might need to clear the cache or maybe your internet/xbox live is fooked, verification should take a few seconds.

Clear the cache anyway, (hold power button till it turns off, unplug) honestly I've only had it laggy after a game crash which is not very often.

EDIT: if Live is having problems it can effect the UI also as it needs to load in gold deals, gamepass games list and your digital list.

It's bizarre how a console that Microsoft want to be always-on runs worse the longer it stays on for. My dashboard only ever gave me trouble when I was experimenting with always-on (like you'd try and resume a game you were playing the day before and it'd load it, crash, and then refuse to load it again, etc). Power saving supremacy 8-)

The Xbox Home and settings menu is quick and snappy, but Mixer, Community and Store is terrible. It’s at least as slow and cumbersome to navigate as Google Android, and it only gets worse on app pages that automatically play video trailers underneath (such as Deezer, which locked up and kicked me back to the Home screen after 30 seconds). The more apps you download in succession, the laggier it then becomes. Load in user reviews (does anyone like anything?!) as well and it really chugs. Video trailers are of a much higher streaming quality than the PS4 Pro.

App selection is very good however. Nice to see UHD movies available on the Store as well.

Shall see how Tomb Raider on 4K Blu Ray performs later.

The size of the X really is small compared to the PS4 Pro, or a SkyHD box.

Who's got the live stream links and is there free money if you watch it on Mixer?
