There’s a filter that shows captures on console/network/both (I think those are the options). Is that set right?

I could of sworn I set the filter to console and was only seeing stuff within the last 30 days there. It never used to be that way until about 12 months ago though. I will be checking this when I get back home though as it seems like I must be missing something. Thanks again, appreciate the help.

So I checked when I got home and I definitely do not have any captures stored locally on the Xbox that are older than 180 days. Very annoying.
Anyway I have ordered a 256Gb thumb drive and will back up everything stored remotely and then change my settings so everything saves to usb drive in the future whilst disabling uploading to any cloud service.

Blizzard has announced it will not hold its annual BlizzCon event in 2024, but promised the event will return in future years.

In a statement to press, Blizzard failed to share the reason for the cancellation of the event, though it said the decision was "not made lightly." Additionally, the company plans to participate in other industry events throughout the year instead:

"Over the next few months, we'll be sharing more details about our launches coming later this year, including World of Warcraft: The War Within and Diablo IV's first expansion, Vessel of Hatred. To celebrate these upcoming releases and to bring our communities together in new and special ways, we will soon share some exciting plans for other industry trade shows and conventions like Gamescom. We can't wait to tell you more about those plans soon. We're also looking forward to the Overwatch Champions Series' stops at both Dreamhack Dallas and Dreamhack Stockholm. And we're thrilled to be planning multiple, global, in-person events to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Warcraft, which will be held in addition to the in-game celebrations across our Warcraft games throughout 2024. While these events are distinct from BlizzCon, we're harnessing all of our creativity and imagination to ensure that they carry the same spirit of celebration and togetherness."

This news comes just as BlizzCon was getting back on its feet. The event was fully canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, then returned briefly as a digital show in 2021 before going on hiatus again in 2022. Last year, BlizzCon was held again in-person for the first time in four years.

Microsoft Corp. will launch its own mobile game store on the internet in July, creating an alternative to Apple Inc. and Google's app stores and their fees.

The store will launch with Microsoft's own games, including Candy Crush Saga, Xbox President Sarah Bond said Thursday at the Bloomberg Technology Summit. Later, Microsoft will open the store to other publishers.

Bond says the store is launching on the web, versus an app, so it's "accessible across all devices, all countries, no matter what, independent of the policies of closed ecosystem stores."

The "The store will launch with Microsoft's own games, including Candy Crush Saga" point is the most important; sell people their addiction without having to give Google/apple their cut on the way.

This is brilliant news, especially since it mentions catalog titles and not just future games. Hope it’s sooner rather than later

Microsoft have added "streak protection" to MS Rewards, so should you miss a day (either because you've forgotten or their software has glitched out again) you're now protected for a maximum of 14 days per year. You've got to turn it on first though.

Amusingly, I cannot turn it on as the slider refuses to switch to "on".
