I don't think saves carry over to the GOTY edition..... :shifty:

It's ok dude, got the game when I bought the X but never even started it, just installed. Had a quick go of the GOTY and it does look lovely in 4K but it doesn't top what I can play it at on PC. Only 2k on PC but locked down to 30fps with Nvidia hairworks/hairworks AA on their highest for all characters (not just Geralt) and everything else on Ultra and that looks stunning.

Mines a 1080p screen anyway with PC so downsampling is all I can do but trust me it looks better with ultra/hairworks (basically the TressFX of Witcher 3) HDR isn't a big thing for me as 4k textures etc are what I prefer. Take the HDR in PUBG, its strawberry floating terrible :slol: always dark and the in game brightness settings does strawberry float all, seriously.

You know the Mixpot you get on Mixer? I have the notifications on Mixer that I received them, but I don't know how to actually access them. Do you have to do it on the Xbox, Email, something else?

The game should be in your games list on your xbox. The other stuff should be in your notifications on your xbox.

I reckon HDR in The Witcher 3 would be better.

Microsoft plans to beef up Xbox Clubs with Discord-like features

We got a glimpse of at least some concepts Microsoft is working on to achieve this goal, starting with changes to Game Hubs and Xbox Clubs. Microsoft is exploring ditching Game Hubs entirely, replacing them with what they're referring to internally as "Official Clubs." Official Clubs will function similarly to Clubs, but they will be owned by the publisher or developer of the games they are attached to and will come with robust features to help developers engage with their customers over Xbox Live.

If Microsoft moves ahead with this plan, Official Clubs would get links wherever they're contextually relevant, such as a Microsoft Store page or within the Xbox Guide menu.

Microsoft's documents say the Official Clubs will come with moderation tools similar to what's available today, with features such as locking comments down on a thread, allowing community managers to add scheduled posts, and robust engagement analytics.

Microsoft is working on Discord-like channels for its Clubs system, which look as though they will allow users to customize different types of content feeds, chat channels, and also voice-chat channels, dubbed "parties."

You will also be able to pin Mixer channels to your Club, making it easy for your friends (or customers, if you're a publisher) to find your content.

Just seen that the Xbox Adaptive Controller is now available to preorder for the very reasonable price of £74.99.

I'm ordering one right now.

It'll be cool to hear how you get on with it, Ironhide. Hopefully it could open up the chance of playing a few different games.

New Avatar Editor Debuts to Xbox Insiders

Get a Head Start on Customizing Your New Avatar
First unveiled last year, a major update to Avatars is arriving today for Xbox Insiders. Avatars will be a unique representation of your desired style, personality, creativity, and mood as you play on Xbox One. As an Xbox Insider, you’re among the first to get your hands on the new Avatars. With this release, you can get a head start on creating a new Xbox Avatar within the beta Xbox Avatar Editor app. We’re starting things off with a selection of customizable appearance and closet items in each category. Additional accessories, props, moods, clothing, and appearance categories will be unlocked in the near future, and more content will regularly become available after launch. Right now, we’re only turning on the Avatar Editor itself, but Xbox dashboard integration will be coming soon to Insiders.

Our team is busy applying the final touches for our first preview of the Xbox Avatar Editor app. The flight will officially begin tomorrow, June 19, and members of Alpha and Alpha – Skip Ahead will be able to access the beta Xbox Avatar Editor via the Xbox Insider Hub’s Insider content tab by noon PDT.

Image

New Categories
The new Xbox Avatars are built from the ground up in to enable an unprecedented amount of inclusive customization options, and we will continue to grow these selections over time. A wide range of body types and gender-neutral clothing enable you to uniquely tailor your avatar however you see fit. If you see something you like, you can use it. Xbox Avatars now feature entirely new categories of appearance items and accessories, including fingernails, makeup, limbs, nose rings, and moods.

Countless Color Combinations
Thanks to the powerful new Avatar Editor app, virtually every aspect of your avatar can be personalized on-the-fly. Each feature, including skin tone, hair, wearables, and props, can support over 16 million color options. Most closet items also support multiple custom colors, so the number of possible color combinations for a single item can go from trillions all the way up to almost eighty octillion– that’s an eight followed by 28 zeroes! With so many color options, it could be easy to lose track of that exact hue that you just used on an item. But don’t worry! Your recently used colors will be available in the “my colors” section of the color selection menu.

Image

Smile for the Camera
Once you’ve created your new Avatar, you’re going to want to show it off! The Photobooth feature in the Avatar Editor enables you to capture a great photo of your Avatar to use as your Gamerpic. Pose your Avatar using a multitude of different emotes, each of which can be paused and advanced frame-by-frame with far more control than ever before. Rotate and zoom controls help you capture the exact pose that you’re looking for, and a wide variety of background colors enable you to set the scene.

Image

Express Yourself
Self-expression is an important tenant of Xbox Avatars, and we know that some of you have become attached to your Xbox Original Avatar since we first introduced them almost ten years ago. We’re giving you the freedom to choose how you represent yourself to Friends on Xbox Live, whether that’s with the all-new Avatars, a custom Gamerpic, or your Xbox Original Avatar. We love the new Xbox Avatars, and we hope you do too.

Does anybody give a gooseberry fool about the avatars?

Edit:

I will give a gooseberry fool only if they bring back 1v100.

BELIEVE. They can't have made Rare spend this long on them just to not actually have any reason for anybody to bother with them, right?

....uh-oh.
