It exists, it’s just the content for it seems to have gone missing.

I finally got mine too yesterday. Not sure about the other stuff, but that was the one I really wanted so I'm happy.

BTW Rare stopped making Avatars a while ago. Seems like they're now made by the Mixed Reality studio.

I got the message too but it had been in my install list (as a pre order) since last week.

Haven't heard of the game before but the premise sounds really cool, better than most other survival games:
In Outer Wilds, the player-character is an astronaut that starts out camping on a planet near his rocket. Within 20 minutes of game time, the local sun will go supernova, ending the game, though the game will restart at the same point. Thus, the player is encouraged to explore the "quirky and condensed galaxy" to learn how the astronaut got there, why the sun will go nova, the secrets of the Nomai, the alien race that had built this galaxy, and other information and secrets that can be used on the subsequent replays of the game to explore further.

The Verge are reporting that Microsoft have cancelled plans for VR & AR on Xbox. It is still a niche so would not likely have had a big audience on the smaller subset of Xbox One X owners. But it seems that Microsoft might be dropping plans completely for support on future Xbox platforms.

Microsoft has completely pulled back on plans to support virtual reality headsets on the Xbox. In an interview with Gamesindustry.biz, Microsoft’s chief marketing officer of gaming Mike Nichols said that “we don’t have any plans specific to Xbox consoles in virtual reality or mixed reality.” Nichols goes on to say that the PC is “probably the best platform” for virtual and mixed reality, and that for the Xbox, “our focus is primarily on experiences you would play on your TV.”

Shame

Could see them having issues getting games to run on the base Xbox One, hopefully they try again next generation, 4K VR will be amazing.

Just got Assassins Creed Origins Deluxe Edition delivered, got so many Xbox One X enhanced games now I've no idea how I'll find the time to go through them, doesn't help with PUBG getting too much attention from me even if I hate the Xbox version :fp:

Ass Creed Origins, Wolfenstein 2, Resident Evil 7, Forza 7, Witcher 3 + expansions, Quantum Break + tons more. Have about 30 games installed and I'd say over half of them are X enhanced. Apart from the at times slow homescreen I quite like my X, the poor PS4 Pro hasn't been getting a look in lately apart from Netflix.

I'd start with Quantum Break, it's a short one. I think it took me about a week to get to the end but you could probably burn through it in a weekend if you had enough time to sit down properly.

30fps or less at times isn't really acceptable for a game as ugly as it is :slol: bugs (I know I know, preview but these are bugs they ironed out in the PC version so from experience shouldn't be in the Xbox version) no one in Europe playing in FPP mode which is a pain in the arse and just tells you basically European Xboners are cheap cheaty bastards, compared to the mobile version even it's seriously way behind and that's a damn mobile version that's so much more complete (and now with FPP mode)

But I still play it :fp:

Already finished QB when I bought an Xbone OG for it and Gears 4 but just want to go through again in 4k :shifty:

Already finished Doom, Wolfenstein and Resident Evil on other platforms but again bought on the X because they are X enhanced titles.

I can never tell if you're meming with the mobile comparison, as bad as you think PUBG looks on X (I think it looks fine) the mobile version on full screen looks far worse, DF did a vid on it a while ago.

No not meming, PUBG Mobile looks great on my S9+ on full settings with my screen set to WQHD+ ;) so no

It's just more of a PUBG experience at the moment than the real PUBG. Seasons, ranks, arcade mode (basically the events mode from PC) seriously man, 1 thing PUBG isn't is pretty. Think I pointed out once how bad even the trees looked and I haven't even mentioned some dodgy as hell textures I've seen in buildings that look straight out of something from the original Doom. Even sat around waiting and expecting the textures to load before realising they are just gooseberry fool

I still think they'll do AR for next gen they just won't get round to releasing it for about 5 years when better hardware is available.

Once we can have much smaller headsets with better screens I think it'll be much more acceptable to the masses.
I think dual 2k screens will be possible on next gen and have room for graphical bells and whistles.
