Buying a PS4 Pro over the base PS4 was an easy decision, but the XB1X is a lot more expensive than the 'S'.

Is the XB1X noisy like the PS4 Pro?

The X is nice and quiet, the only time I've heard the fans kick in was when viewing the survivor screen on State of Decay 2 which was caused by a gooseberry fool bug that's now been fixed.

I didn’t even realise the X had fans in it :o I thought it was fanless

Game pass is great and Amazon often have 3 and 6 months memberships at half price making it just £4 a month. I'm subscribed until Christmas next year so I get access to all Microsoft exclusives (and loads of other games as well) for £80 which these days is just 1 game with DLC.

If you use bing you can also get a free game pass every few month as you get points for searching and can get a month of game pass for 6800 points.

Probably best to buy the £5 credit for 4,700 and use the credit to buy the game pass. Don't forget to use topcashback for 7.07% cashback!

These new avatars are... interesting. Love how limited the clothing choices are, still. Even when they let you wear clothing for all the genders :slol:

...But there's still only two pairs of actual glasses.

Anyone in for some Forza Horizon 2 multiplayer tonight? I'll be online and streaming tonight from about 8

I played a bit of the single player the other night to unlock multiplayer (warning you need to player 1-2 hours of the game before you can unlock online/clubs etc) and the game looks pretty ropey, maybe even worse the original Horizon! It does seem to play a lot like the first game though and from the areas I've driven around it seems to be a much better game than the third, so I am hoping the online element will be as good as the original game.

I dunno. I'll always see the third as better than the second in terms of structure, but in terms of the land - I can never decicde which of the two is actually best. Maybe doing nothing but driving in road trips has soured me a bit to the world itself. I'm pretty near 100%ing everything on the third and will be back on the second in the run-up to the fourth, so maybe that will give me a bit more time to decide.
From what I can see it's pretty clear the fourth is wiping whichever is in first anyway, so it's not really a big decision.

Didn't realise if you have a disc copy installed and the game turns up on Game Pass then theres no need to reinstall it for a digital copy. I was going to do that with Doom but no need it works without having to pop the disc in, happy days.

I've decided to get a 1TB Xbox One S in a couple of weeks.

Do I need Xbox Live to use Game Pass?

I know the system is now backward compatible, can I just go on the store and buy a digital 360 game with credit?

Can't wait to get back into Xbox gaming. Sunset Overdrive, Dead Rising 3, Killer Instinct, Gears Halo and rare replay... Going to be a busy few months.

Wish my image sig would work

For some utterly mental reason you can only use paypal to buy 360 games. I got a fiver of store credit from bing rewards and topped up another fiver myself to get something from the 360 or OG Xbox but it wouldn't let me use it, only my paypal info.

Yeh it’s a bit weird. You can use your Xbox credit only if you’re on a 360 console and buying it. You’ll have the option of card/paypal too.

If you’re on any other device (Xbox one/desktop etc) you can only use PayPal or credit/debit cards. You can use the same Xbox credit to buy Xbox 1 games/content however

I read on a forum someplace that it was because of fraud prevention. Which doesn’t make much sense

Ah, ok. I'll pop on my 360 and get PDO on there instead

You don't need Live to use Gamepass.

I've just bought an Xbox One X. :|

You can't go wrong at £349 (with Forza 7), surely? Even if Microsoft announce a price cut in Germany next week, they'd only match it.

Good price! I paid £369 with the offer you shared (still good.) I'm guessing a new model might have a 2TB hdd? I've bought a headset. Just waiting to get some work out the way and go all in. Bought a 4K tv too and Sea of Thieves looked lovely, as did 4k Skyrim on PS4... also boosted 360 games. Games Pass is very good value. Menu looks good but is a bit fiddly. And video/image capture, lots of button presses, please try it because I'm wondering if there is a quicker way.
