Your eyes are not deceiving you - you will soon be able to download the official TrueAchievements App on your Xbox One!

When Microsoft approached us to ask if we wanted to be directly involved in the next-gen revolution, we jumped at the chance - and we've been working hard to take some of the best features of trueachievements.com and put them onto your console, including:

• Achievement solutions
• Gaming sessions
• The latest Xbox news
• True scoring
• Friend feeds
• Stats - for games, achievements and gamers
• Achievement lists and solutions for games and apps on ALL Xbox platforms
• Milestone charts
• Friend game leaderboards

We’re also planning to include snapped mode and voice support.

And in news that could potentially make the universe implode, it will have achievements!

You will need a TrueAchievements account to make use of all the features, but of course that's no problem for most of you - if you have un-registered friends that you think might want to make use of the app then why not get them to sign-up now?

The free app will be available soon (we’re hoping for a September release), in the mean time here’s some screenshots to whet your appetite

Publishers will decide whether to support digital pre-orders and pre-downloads for their games on Xbox One, division head Phil Spencer has confirmed.

Speaking to CVG after the press conference, Spencer confirmed that the features will not be made mandatory for Xbox One releases, though stressed he's keen to see how consoles owners react.

"You have to remember that the publishers own their content on our platform. We go out and talk to our partners about what we're building and what features are available, but they get to decide what they want to use on our platform," he said.

"It's easier for me to say with something like Forza, because we own that game and I can make the decision that that's going to offer the feature. Obviously we talked to EA about having FIFA in the program and we'll talk to all of our partners about how they want to structure the launch of their games."

"It's a feature of a platform that everybody can take advantage of and I'll definitely be a big proponent of it because I think it's nice for the digital ecosystem."

As for Xbox's first-party stance, Spencer says it will wait to analyse feedback of the initial digital releases.

"I want to see how gamers use the feature and if they're happy with it. It's kind of why we announced it. I wont call it a 'trial', but we announced a couple of new games and I want to get feedback, just like anything on our platform.

"So before I say, 'yes, everything is going to work this way', I'd like to do one before I do two, if that makes sense. But in general, I'd say it's a very good idea."

Being able to stream TV to a device instead of having to use snap mode wouldve been great during the world cup

Massive Chalice is structured into two main layers: strategy and tactics. In the strategy layer, you oversee your kingdom, arrange royal marriages, conduct research and make the far-reaching decisions that will determine the fate of your legacy. In the tactics layer, you fight brutal turn-based battles to defend your kingdom using small squads of customizable heroes.

Creating games is not easy, and ID@Xbox is committed to offering developers the tools they need to bring innovative experiences to Xbox One. Earlier this year, we announced access to Unity tools and Unreal Engine 4 for ID@Xbox developers, and we’re excited to offer yet another popular middleware solution for development on Xbox One. Beginning later this year, ID@Xbox participants with development kits will be able to use the GameMaker: Studio export for Xbox One to bring their games to life.
