White bundle confirmed -

Microsoft is bundling at least two major upcoming titles with Xbox One consoles this year: EA Tiburon's Madden NFL 15 and Insomniac Games' Sunset Overdrive, a company spokesperson told Polygon during a press event last week......................

Sunset Overdrive, the colorful open-world action title from Insomniac, will be bundled with a white Xbox One later this year. It will be the first time a white Xbox One is available to the public; Microsoft produced white units for the console's launch last November, but they were specially made only for employees of the company...

There's no word at this point on the price or release date of the Sunset Overdrive bundle, but the game itself is set to launch Oct. 28 exclusively on Xbox One.

Really dumb that they aren't doing physical games with their bundles.

I think that'll become standard for all console manufacturers, Maf. It saves 'em money and pushes people towards digital downloads. But, yeah, 40 or 50 gigabyte downloads are still out of the question for a lot of folks' internet speeds, tariffs... and patience. Especially on top of the initial system setup / updates.

Weird how all of Sony's official PS4 bundles are physical whereas all Microsoft's are digital.

But at least they dropped that DRM stuff. We dodged a bullet there.

I think it's them that dodged a bullet. MS would be dead in the water now if they'd have gone ahead with it. :dread:

Are you seriously trying to tell us you don't prefer bringing your new console home and waiting hours for your game with no resale value to download, mafro?

I prefer digital games, especially for non-Nintendo hardware. I wouldn't mind waiting for it to download. It's not like I wouldn't have anything else to do while I wait.

I prefer Digital also, unless you broadband is rubbish, most games are downloaded and installed in 2-3hrs tops. If it's single player you can start playing after like 10mins. Done this while downloading tomb raider on X1.

Thats not very exciting for coming home with a brand new console though is it. Take it out the box, set up all the leads and what not, then wait for whatever patches/system updates, then download the game I wanna play.

You have to install em from disc. Not as long but same principle.

I was in game stop today and Watchdogs was €75! It's €70 to download!

Certain games I'll be getting digital. The Masterchief collection belongs on my hard drive and I'm getting that digitally, FIFA 15 with 10% off with EA access also and GTA V. 3 games I'll play throughout 2015. I'm chuffed to have TF on hard drive, great to Pop on for a game.

Not really, doesn't take very long. And gamestop have been con artists for a while so.

Microsoft announces a Freeview plug-in. You stick one end to a USB socket and stick your aerial into the box. It's basically for people who really really really want to use the OneGuide instead of their remote control of their telly. £25. Anyone with Sky/Virgin would probably still have to use their remote controls.

Since launch, it’s been our vision to bring more entertainment features and enable live TV through Xbox One to more markets around the world. We know our fans in Europe have been asking for this functionality on Xbox Feedback and today, we’re pleased to announce that Xbox One users in the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain will be able to experience premium live TV features on Xbox One, such as the ability to access your favorite shows and channels with the sound of your voice* through the OneGuide, with the new Xbox One Digital TV Tuner.

Beginning in October, the Xbox One Digital TV Tuner will be available in the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain, providing Xbox One users in those markets with an over-the-air digital terrestrial TV experience through the USB single tuner, an alternative to accessing TV content from a cable or satellite set-top box connected through the HDMI-In port. The new digital TV tuner will also support free-to-air DVB-T, DVB-T2 and DVB-C television standards.

Here’s a list of the capabilities enabled by the Xbox One Digital TV Tuner:

Watch HD TV on Xbox One: With the Xbox One Digital TV Tuner, you can watch free-to-air DVB-T, DVB-T2 and DVB-C television channels without changing TV inputs. You can receive game invitations and notifications while watching TV and even watch TV while you wait for a multiplayer match to start.
TV Viewing in Snap Mode: You can watch TV using the Snap mode, watching TV on the side and leaving the main screen for games, Skype, or other applications.
Pause Live TV: Pause your favorite show when you get up to take a break.
TV Listings in the OneGuide: TV listings will be available in the OneGuide. From anywhere, say “Xbox show guide, what’s on BBC One?” to quickly navigate directly to that channel’s listings*.
Favorite Channels in the OneGuide: Create your own personal Favorites in the OneGuide so you can easily choose what you want to watch.
Channel Tuning by Voice: The OneGuide allows you to call out your favorite TV channel by name and start watching it instantly*.
The OneGuide on Xbox SmartGlass: Now you have access to the full OneGuide on the new Xbox SmartGlass app with the ability to tune channels on your TV.
TV On Demand: TV listings in the OneGuide will indicate which shows are available on demand from video apps.

The Xbox One Digital TV Tuner will be available beginning late October in the UK for ₤24.99, and France, Italy, Germany and Spain for €29.99.

*Kinect required for voice-enabled features

A friend I went to school with is working for a company called Deco Digital in Derby and they're releasing their game in Jan 2015.

Trailer doesn't give away much but this is the extract from 'Total Xbox'

Derby-based Deco Digital and Bevel Studios have announced Pneuma: Breath of Life, an Unreal Engine-powered "ontological mystery" for Xbox One in which you play as a god "wrestling with the nature of reality". To be a little more specific, it's "a first person puzzler that will challenge not only your mind, but your own sense of self". It burns! It burns!

Slated for release in January 2015, the game is a "narrated story of self-discovery" featuring environmental puzzles that hinge on observation and lateral thinking - apparently, "this game isn't about your skill with a controller, it's about how you perceive and analyse situations". The titular Pneuma delivers a "comical self-obsessed inner monologue" throughout.

"We think Pneuma is something special," comments producer and artist Joe Brammer in a release. "It's different, and we truly believe the gaming community is craving a game like this, which is why we've put so much work into it to try and deliver the best experience possible and see whether players can overcome some of the seriously challenging puzzles you'll face in Pneuma."

So... what sort of guns does it have, Deco? Can I customise my armour? Sorry - I'm just having trouble getting my head around the idea of an Unreal game that isn't about blood, guts and the efficiency with which they can be sprayed across the scenery.
