It's not out until 31st October so I doubt it'll drop that much in 6 weeks. Probably £330 is the best you can hope for but I wouldn't be surprised at no price drop for that edition.

Ta. I'm just wondering what it will take for me to make a spontaneous purchase.

Anyone else had any issues with the sound from whatever they are putting through the Xbox One for TV since the latest update?

Got a very annoying glitch on the sound from my Freesat box since I got a preview update at the weekend, plugged it straight into the TV and its gone so its definitely an issue with the Xbox One.

EDIT - Yeah its fixed now, was apparently just on the early update and got fixed yesterday.

Is that Bubbs off The Wire who's doing the voiceover work on the latest XB1 advert?

 It's Sylvester Stallone, taken from the 2006 film Rocky Balboa.

China has approved the sale of 5 million Xbox One units, opening the way for Microsoft to make a big splash in the country’s emerging console sector.

Microsoft’s Chinese partner BesTV revealed the figure in a Tuesday earnings statement. The Chinese version of the Xbox One goes on in China on Sept. 23, after the country ended a 13-year-old ban on the import of foreign game consoles.

Although China often censors gaming content to weed out excessive violence, the approval of 5 million Xbox One units signals that the country’s government is still giving ample room for actual device sales.

BesTV, a provider of Internet television services, is confident the Xbox One will rake in big profits over time. The industry is projecting that China’s console gaming market has the potential to sell over 50 million units over the next five years, the company said.

What's Free Play Day? It's only free on the day you downloaded it and played it for one day?

It's not been officially announced yet but I assume it's free for 24hrs once you start playing.

Sony used to this with certain titles, but only up to a hour and if you're on PS Plus. Generally a waste of time downloading though. And it haven't really expanded very well.

UPDATE 22/8/14 9.30am Microsoft has claimed that its listing of a new 24-hour free game unlock program was an "error".

In a statement to Eurogamer, the company acknowledged the listing as genuine but described its public appearance as mistake.

"A promotional tile for 'Max: The Curse of Brotherhood' was posted briefly on the US dash in error yesterday," a Microsoft spokesperson said. "We apologise for any inconvenience.

"We're constantly exploring different ways to offer more benefits to our Xbox Live Gold members and will keep them updated when special offers become available."
