Console digital stores are not like Steam. New games are priced at around £55 for the "standard" versions and around £70 for "season pass" versions. For physical versions, the prices are around £45 and £60; they're lower because retailers buy in bulk to enable them to offer discounts. PC also offers several storefronts whilst consoles just have the one.

What stores are on pc that offer the stuff that is in the others?

As far is I am aware there is Steam (most games) uPlay (Unisoft games) and Origin (EA Games) so effectively you have everything in one store as they games are on multiple stores so the competition isn't there.

Console stores do cost more however they do have sales every so often and sites like CD Keys and that offer codes for digitals games at bigger discounts because they can buy the activation codes in bulk the same as a retailer buying physical copies in bulk.

I don't think it will really change much as the codes will be what you buy from amazon, Tesco, Asda wherever and they will be buying in larger quantities and digital will be way instead of having a disk option that may go for.

For consoles, digital games cost more to buy than physical versions... and that's with the physical version being an option. If they are not available, I don't think that that digital pricing will be going anywhere but upwards.

To be fair there are like 500 sites that sell keys cheaper than steam. Bar cdkeys and dodgy sites PS and Xbox games are rare to find cheaper. And when they are it isn't by much.

I think that's down to download not being the main media type, if is was it would be in sites interests to bulk buy keys and it would become more for a thing. Right now the masses are used to console stuff being in disk so it's a risk to stock alot of digital keys.

The problem with a digital only console is that one of the biggest markets, America, is far from ready for a Digital only platform. A huge portion of the US market are on internet connections with data caps, or still in areas with relatively low speeds by UK standards. Until that market is ready for a digital only console I wouldn't expect to see it anytime soon.

Microsoft's new Xbox controller designed for accessibility leaks ahead of reveal

While we don't have many details about how it works exactly, you can see in the image how it has grooved impressions at the top which represent all of the Xbox controller's different functions, which would help users who favor touch over sight to program different buttons, and two large "A" and "B" buttons which are presumably programmable. It also features a 3 light LED similar to the previously leaked Xbox Elite V2 controller, which could be to indicate when different programmed modes are active. It also looks as though it has a USB port and 3.5mm audio jack on the left side

Gaming is such an important form of escapism for people with disabilities.

Haven't a clue how that works but it's brilliant that they've decided to work on this :)

That looks real cool - I wonder if Ironhide could potentially find this useful?

What do you reckon, dude - would the controller be any good for your particular needs?

I need to get an external hard drive for mu xbox one, am I right in thinking that the criteria is that it needs to be USB 3.0, so any 2gb one I find that is USB 3.0 will be fine?

Ive survived on the 1tb internal for I think 3 years so I was thinking an extra 2gb would be enough.

It was my Xbox hard drive until it ran out of space, upgraded to a 4TB now but still have the old one hanging around. It's a portable USB powered one, Seagate I think. Was looking for £40, PM me if you're interested.

Traditionally the second batch of games come out on the 16th of the month (no matter the length of the month). I sometimes get a sneaky download in later on at night the day before.

Thanks I'll have a think. I may go slightly larger thinking about it.
