It’s the first Ass Creed game that I’d ever played and it wasn’t terrible
At least by now most of the bugs and bits that irritated people (the assassinations that required you to play the mobile game) have been sorted.

I looked it up after getting the code and apparently it's not buggy anymore and it runs pretty well (on the X at least). I'll probably give it a go as I still haven't played the series despite being interested after the original games announcement. I heard the downside is that they are collectathons, but I just finished Lego City Undercover and surely no game can have as many collectibles as that game

I didn't actually mind Unity. I picked it up for about £4 and I certainly got a lot of value out of it. It's one of the worst AC games, but wandering around Paris was nice and the missions were ok.

I thought Unity had the best city but one of the weakest stories, and i'm perhaps the only person who likes the animus angle, although it was nice how Rogue bridged the gap between the Americas games and Unity.

I found the story in AC2 and Brotherhood genuinely interesting. It's a shame it just fizzled out.

At this point I think I have played all the Assassin's Creeds except for the new one, but could not tell you which was which. I increasingly have this issue with long series where the games are similar. I have bought a cheap Call of Duty before and only released when I got home that I already completed it. Games need to be more distinct to stick in my memory.

Listening to Podcast unlocked where they discuss the game rumours and they disclose some interesting information. Alana asked people who she knows leak MS stuff and they verified the Coalition are working on a new Perfect Dark also Playground making Fable 4 and it being an open world RPG is looking very likely. They've hired a Horizon Zero Dawn lead and some Rockstar folk too.

Not sure I like the idea of the Coalition working on a new Perfect Dark... Will have to wait and see what they do with it. It's not exactly a Gears of War-like franchise

It’s rumoured to be a third person game (like tomb raider).

Not sure I like the idea of a third-person Tomb Raider-like Perfect Dark
That might mean that the levels are a little more open like the original PD, though. But I hope they don't go full open-world with it.

I’m not a fan of everything being open world recently, but at the same time Fable didn’t feel right when every area you visited had 4-5 buildings in it after a massive load time
Maybe it’ll be Microsoft’s answer to Zelda BOTW
