With all this Paradise talk, I was going to go off and find my disc to give it a try. Then I spotted it there in my Ready to Install. Completely forgot it was on Games with Gold a while back!

Played Halo 5 with a mate today (the ironing after yesterday's rant) and my internet issues got even stranger. Everything was going fine, lag suddenly started, I got kicked from the game, after a few seconds I got disconnected from Xbox Live and when I tried to reconnect the old 'bone had deleted my the connection to the router so I had to set it up again.

Everything was fine after that but pretty strange.

I read something today that reminded me that 4K patches are a thing. I completely forgot about this, have I been playing my games in povo mode?

4K patches are automatically applied to Xbox One X enhanced games.

-Open World game. Mix of dungeon crawler and big expansive open world with giants flying through the sky.

-Passive multiplayer. No lobby. People run in and out of your world. Get to far from eachother you dissconnect will search for something new. Can be set to friends only also

-Started with 3 people on the game. Team now at 38 people. With the full funding now they can achieve their full vision of the game now.

-No swords in the game. Wanted do it abit different. Harsh world also so would be "unrealistic" to use that much metal for a sword.

-All weapons can be upgraded to power levels of eachother. So if you like one specific Axe because you can do a backflip with it. You can keep upgrading it and using it.

-The game is all about the town. When you play you do quests for NPC etc. They will join your town. Starts off arround a campfire and then builds into a real town with houses offering crafting etc

-Players that will join your game in multiplayer. Will look like NPC"s from your town

-When you die you will lose your currency you have on you. Can get it back from where you died.

-Multiplayer is max 2 people. Took inspiration from Journey.

-The Giant in the gif above is a Mermaid named Giffen. Just one of the big giants in the game.

-Alots of Lore. When you start the game there is no sun. There is big explosion and as long as people can remember there is light and you fight to keep that light in the world

-Windows 10 and Xbox. Expected to release Q3/Q4 of this year

I tried turning off the DVR to see if it helps wth the WiFi and the performance is night and day. For Fortnite I also had to delete a small file for reserved space in the game management, anyone know if it's worth doing this with other online games.

I guess that's one thing they'll be talking about on the Inside Xbox show later on. They did mention about something related to OG Xbox BC. I can hope there's going to be more than just that, but I wouldn't be complaining if that was the only one.

It's been on my dash a few days. It's only for new and returning subs and limited to 1 month free Xbox live. You will get sent a code on Xbox live for the 1 month free live. Only available in 8 countries as well.

It would make sense that they merge it in some way though.

Maybe 2 levels of sub, level 1 is just gold much like now, level 2 is Pass with gold included.

Yeah, I was thinking much the same just the other day. Daft to have two separate subscription payments.

From what I can gather, someone who worked on the new avatars put this video in his portfolio on his website. Now his whole website has gone. I think he might be in trouble.

So what's the current state of play of avatars on XBO, do they exist like they did on 360 so you can pick and choose clothing?
Will the new avatars be used for anything (eg in games like on 360) or are they just for bio page?
