Doing that every 60 secs or so is not hey presto. It's fix your strawberry floating gooseberry fool MS.

Oh, there are many people who suffer the problem to varying degrees.
My X1s sits where my X1 used to sit and I have had no problems as yet.... With the joypads.

I'm guessing the part that supplies the wireless signal to the pad is faulty. Would have sent mine for repair, but knew I was replacing with 1s.

Mine only tends to do it when it's getting low on battery, which is both annoying and a useful reminder to plug it in before it just dies outright. Once I made the mistake of plugging it into the USB socket of my W10 laptop and it immediately de-synced from the xbone so I had to go and re-sync it.

It's good to hear the X1S has resolved the issue potentially. I couldn't find any information about it online when I looked.

I read the big thread on the Xbox forums and when support had exhausted all options they were replacing the console itself but even that didn't work for all people. I thought it might be the wireless standard used in the Xbox 1 (it changed from what was used in the 360, which coincidentally works fine with my Xbox 1 when using my old Rock Band 360 controllers)

I've decided to just live with it now until the Scorpio is out or there's at least some information on what Scorpio is.

My day one, titanfall and vanilla pads (3 controllers) all work when connected with USB lead, not without. bought a 4th when the new pads (the ones with the headset Jack at the front) came out thinking they may have found a fault in the old controllers and this was there attempt at a fix. Still happened.

So nope.... Not obvious at all.

Obviously your X1 is borked then. You understand the majority don't have that issue right?

Obviously that makes all those with the problem think it's alright to suffer for it and telling the people with this problem they have a faulty pad is beyond not having a clue.

You just need to understand that most people will have tried removing batteries, putting the box in a different location, making sure the router or other devices they have are not conflicting with the box.
It is a faulty box and is a bigger problem than you yourself fail to understand.

When did it start? from back in the day or with some random update? Pity it wasn't within the first year is my point. Have you called MS about it? it maybe a cheap fix...?

I suppose I was lucky my faulty pad corrected itself with a system update but it is shocking just how many have suffered pad problems.

It started last year and when the rumours of an updated x1 started I decided to wait for that. The console is now in my daughters room and she sits close enough that the cable connection is sufficient.

I thought it may have been with me being a preview member, but others I know did not suffer it. From the conversations I've had with various people on the interweb I came to the conclusion that it has to be a hardware fault in the system and that all x1's are not created equal.

I wonder how much would it be to get it fixed/send it to MS?

EDIT: If you sign in here

https://devicesupport.microsoft.com/en-US

You'll be given a cost before you send it away, takes 14 days including P&P.

Seems to still be a problem, people with Gears consoles reporting disconnects too https://xbox.uservoice.com/forums/25165 ... 1502-updat

So it's just a matter of luck whether you get a working one or not. So weird.

I think this is the long xbox forum topic I found recently but I've just about exhausted every solution myself. I think a new console and keep returning it if required until I get a working one is my only option (but I'm not spending more money now with a new console out next year). Here's the link, some solutions may work for people having problems... http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_support/xbo ... x?pi7962=1

Would a system reset solve anything? I suspect Xbox Support would eventually ask you do that.

yup tried resets, system updates, controller updates, different controllers, new AA batteries, turning rumble off, taking all electronics out of the room, turning off mobile phones, just about everything apart from paying for a repair (the Xbox link I posted above has users sending a repaired console in a number of times before giving up)

And its completely intermittent to, you could be playing for an hour or sometimes just 30 seconds.

Nothing worse, almost sounds like some bizarre soldering issue or wiring... odd.

Especially when you only have a year to troubleshoot it  that's why I liked the RRoD, no questions asked and everything was sorted for you.

It doesn't even disconnect as such, you can be immersed in a game and then the game pauses, you look down and the Xbox logo LED is flashing (like it's just finished pairing with the console) then when that light is illuminated again you can "press A to continue" and carry on.

A little help Xbox friends.

I have wwe 2k17 and it comes with a downloadable bonus (Goldberg pack) I followed the instructions and entered the code, which it accepted and I believe it then said something about download will appear in the updates queue or similar however this was over 24 hrs ago and it still has not. I went back in and put the code in again in case it didn't work the first time and it now says that the code has already been redeemed so it obviously accepted the code first time. Has anyone else had a similar problem with a download code? Am I missing something obvious?

Also my brother has the same game and his worked straight away.

Regarding the controller disconnecting problem - Is a wireless router anywhere nearby? My gf was having the same problem, which went away when we moved the router a bit further away from the Xbox. I think the new console does the connection via bluetooth, which is also why that has no issues.

Worth a shot anyway.

Try pressing the menu button on the WWE 2K17 tile and select 'manage game', this should bring up all your content for this game. If it's not there you can try manually searching for it in the store, as long as you've previously downloaded it you can do so again.

Check your Xbox is set to 'My Home Xbox' too. It shouldn't make any difference, but if it's set somewhere else (if you're gamesharing with your brother, for instance) that can cause some complications with downloads.
