Don't hold the Xbox button too long though otherwise it'll turn the controller off.

That was really annoying when the Xbox was so slow to react to controller commands and you couldn't tell how long you'd been holding it down for

Ah yes, remember when an achievement popped up or a friends message and you could hold button to read but it would come up with option to turn off? :fp:

I used to hold the button down to turn the console off and the turn off menu didn't pop up so I'd end up turning the controller off because it was held down so long. The. I'd be swearing at the console because no buttons were working

They really are leaving it late to start pre-orders the the X.
Surely they must begin this weekend or next.

The Xbox One S is a bloody lovely looking box. The stormtrooper controller too.

Spotify Comes to Xbox One

Whether you’re battling hordes of enemies, scoring the winning goal or just enjoying the scenic routes of your favorite open world game, the greatest gaming experiences all have one thing in common – a majestic soundtrack. The perfect soundtrack can take you back to reminisce about moments of gaming triumph, or get you fired up for the next big challenge ahead.

At Spotify, we believe that the right music can make every moment special, wherever and whenever you are. For some time now, Xbox gamers have been telling us that they’d like to be able to soundtrack their own gaming sessions using Spotify, to make every single session feel new and unique.

Well, we have been listening…

Starting today, Spotify is available on Xbox One in 34 markets* around the world. The new integration means that millions of Xbox One gamers can now choose the perfect music from Spotify to provide a fresh gaming soundtrack every time.

Just download the Spotify app from the Xbox Store to choose your personalized gaming experience. You can choose from your saved music, search the full Spotify catalogue of 30 million tracks, or browse the pre-curated gaming playlists in the ‘Gaming’ hub.

And, to celebrate the launch of Spotify on Xbox One we even have a playlist curated by Major Nelson himself.

Simply play your music on demand with your Xbox One controller, whether you are a free or a Premium Spotify user. Worried about interrupting your game? Don’t be! You can also control playback on your Xbox wirelessly from the Spotify app on your phone, tablet or desktop using Spotify Connect.

Creating your personalized gaming soundtrack has never been easier.

Simply visit spotify.com/xbox to find out more.

A Spotify app has been an obvious omission from Xbox for a while, so that’s good news.

That renders the poorly-implemented custom radio station in Forza Horizon 3 even more irrelevant - it dropped songs all the time and had no shuffle feature :fp:

Apparently the best way to get it over here is to search for spotify xbox one on EDGE on X1 and download it there. Why its not on the store yet is bizarre. :fp:

If I used Spotify that would be great, but I am a Google Music'er as Spotify pisses me off because of their 9999 library limit.

My library on google is about 8000 so it doesn't really matter, but the limit is just ridiculous, they also limit how many files you can have offline to 3333 which when I was subscriber hit me and pissed me off to the point I left.

The limits are stupid and pointless and until they are gone they can do one.
