Took me ages to spot the new Game DVR location. Went searching through the apps in case they'd changed the name or something. Whoops :fp: Glad that they've made the guide pop up with a single click of the xbox button but it's a bit awkward going back to the dashboard now. It was just pressing Y when the blade was up on the 360, why couldn't they do that again? Press a button rather than having to click on a particular option. It's easier but still not as easy as it should be. What's the point of the Insider previews if things don't get spotted like that?

If I don't have a custom background set, it's probably because I prefer the background to be uncluttered. Thanks for forcing this on us.

Take a screenshot of the sky or water in a game, set as background, problem sorted.

You shouldn't have to do that though, it's odd that they haven't put in the option to leave it blank somewhere in settings. It is very strange to all of a sudden have a giant purple bar at the top of your screen just because you last used Demand 5.

When it was first released, I saw a tip from one of the team and I've used it ever since. To get to the home screen quickly, press the guide button then A twice. Obviously this is basically just selecting the option on-screen, but you don't have to think about it, or move the cursor.

I found the new guide annoying, if I want to get back to the home screen it's now no longer a button press away, I have to press the Xbox button, move to the right and then ok it.

I'll try Rink's suggestion though, that seems slightly less annoying.

I find myself going back to the home screen out of habit, but really you hardly ever need to use it. The guide has all of your last played games, your pins, the store, friends list and achievements all built in to it.

I guess it is mainly habit. I do prefer the full pins screen though.

This may seem odd but this is one of the games I'm going to be getting when I get the Scorpio and get back into Xbox gaming.

It doesn't seem odd really, you're also gonna get Halo Wars 2 aren't you? As for City Skylines, It'll be on sale at some point and lets be honest, that's both a time sink and more of a 'winter' game really.

Yep, That's also on my must buy list.
I think as a showcase Forza 7 will be as I haven't played a forza game since the 360 days and it would be nice to see how the main Halo games are going and if they've managed to ruin the story as badly as I've heard. I'm a bit worried about re-activating my xbox live account as I've not signed in in at least 4 or 5 years and to be honest have no idea how I'd go about re-activating it :shifty: .

I wonder if your gamertag has gone also, MS 'decomissioned' old gamertags that had dorment accounts a while ago.

I just had a look and it seems I signed in a few years ago to spend the microsoft points I had left before they disappeared and bought Ticket to Ride. I should be fine to just sign in with the account as soon as I get the Scorpio.

Yep if you know your details it'd take about 1minute to re-activate. All digital games you owned on 360 or got with gold sub that have been made backwards compatible will also populate your 'ready to download' list.

Quantum Break is a year old today, still odd Phil there, maybe he's seeing an AW 2 build. Then flies to U.K. Tomorrow for big reveal.

Has there been any sort of talk regarding publishers being given special deals to make their games "Play Anywhere" titles? I noticed that Enter the Gungeon and Snake Pass are both included in that programme and the Shadow or Mordor sequel is going to be as well. Do MS take a smaller cut of Play Anywhere games, are they paying devs to support it or is it a case that these companies want a bit more competition for Steam?
