1. Home
2. Settings
3. All Settings
4. Display & Sound
5. Audio output
6. Under Headset Audio/Headset format select "Windows Sonic for Headphones" then enable "use virtual surround sound."
7. If a game supports it change the sound output to 7.1 or 5.1

The “Turn on 7.1 virtual surround sound” (Windows) or “Use virtual surround in apps” (Xbox) checkbox allows all existing applications that were capable of rendering to 5.1 or 7.1 channel formats to now treat headphones as a virtual 7.1 device. Content that previously would have only been heard in multichannel via a multichannel home theater, and which would have utilized a linear downmix over headphones, can now be virtualized (using the format specified in the dropdown) and heard over any pair of stereo headphones.

I don't suppose anyone is having trouble with updates?

I just downloaded the Tomb Raider gold game in seconds but next up is a game update I want to play and it's going at 68Kbs

No Lego game has online multiplayer to my knowledge. Bar Lego Worlds.

Go check. Maybe it does, but all the ones I played have only had local multiplayer. Maybe this is the only one to have it?

There's an achievement for playing a level online, so it does :P No idea if it still works, though!

I wonder why it was on that one but not any of the other games?

To by recollection LEGO Star Wars The Complete Saga was the only one with online co-op? I could check co-optimus, but can't be arsed. I played it for a bit the other night and could not find an obvious way to look online for a game. Knowing the LEGO games it will be some not that obvious bit in the central hub that launches it.

Protecting their brand i expect. One news story about kids being harassed/groomed through a lego game and they're reputation is in the bin; the same reason they preemptively killed their lego mmo a few years ago.

Didn't they kill that because it was costing them too much money to police all the cocks being made in it?

To clear up the Lego Star Wars question: Yes, it has online co-op. There's an Xbox Live option right on the main menu. I just searched for games, and there are ten or so in session right now. Alternatively you can invite a friend while you're playing the game solo.

Is there a way to create an offline account for a child on an xbox? Every time I try to add an account it wants it tying to an email address - shes 8.

When I go into family mode it still wants an email address, am I being extremely dense here?

No, I don't think it's possible. It has to be created through an MS account.

Have you considered buying a Switch?

What a bloody stupid design choice. I just downloaded Minecraft for her and I just want her to play on an offline account that isnt connected to a bank account. Wankers.

I set my lad (7years) up his own email account so he could have his own Xbox account. Obviously I have the password for it and he doesn't use it.

Yeah, it doesn't have to be linked to a bank account. And I assume you can set parental controls so she can't go online.

If I do that and create and account with an email address, will it be able to play the game I downloaded on my account?

I think so. I've never used the family sharing thing. Way to make me feel bad on a Friday night.
