Oh, right, yeah. I thought there might be another one since. Took some getting used to, and it's a shame to see Snap go, but it's much better.

It's officially released now? Including the 2 controllers as 1 controller helper feature thing?

I've never played an XBONE but I still lament the loss of the blades back on 360.

I'm on the preview program, so it might not be out for everyone. I'm still a bit confused as to why it's taken so long to get to me.

You can access the blades when playing a 360 game on X1.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to this update, it sounds like it fixes the negatives I have for the system

Try it, while people are still playing it. It's very atmospheric, with loads of tension.

Imagine you're in Predator. A small team, running through jungle overgrowth, trying to take down a monstrous hunter before it picks you off, one by one.

It's really pretty good.

I'm gonna give it a go tomorrow night, also Assasins Creed Rogue aint too shabby. The main characters Irish accent is AWFUL, what makes it worse is that his bro is actually a real Irish accent but someone made the call to make him a bit part guy! Infuriating.

I wonder if they can make a VR headset with 4k and HDR?
If so surely that would end up being the cheapest way to go.

I was looking at QLED but they seem to have gone insane with the pricing with the cheapest being £2k.

Game Chat Transcription feature available today in Halo Wars 2 for Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs

Today, Microsoft is releasing a new pilot feature available on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs called Game Chat Transcription. This feature allows speech-to-text and text-to-speech capabilities, offering a new way to communicate that creates a more accessible and inclusive gaming experience for everyone.

Game Chat Transcription works in two ways:

Speech-to-text provides the ability to convert all player’s voice communications in the game chat into text, so the player using this feature can read the text on their screen in real-time.
Text-to-speech provides the ability for players using this feature to have their typed text spoken aloud to other players in the game.
Game Chat Transcription will initially be available in Halo Wars 2, with the goal of adding support for more games in the future. We think you will enjoy using this cool new feature, so be sure to try it out!

How to activate this feature:

Go to Settings > All settings > Ease of Access > Game Chat Transcription.
To transcribe other players’ voices into text, select Speech-to-text.
To have your chat text read aloud to other players, select Text-to-speech.
To choose the voice that other players will hear when your chat text is read aloud, select one of the available voices in the Text-to-speech voice menu.

Xbox Clubs API will let devs create in-game social features (exclusive)

The Xbox Clubs system will be opened up to developers so they can create in-game systems, according to leaked documents.

Microsoft unveiled Xbox Clubs in late 2016 as a way to create social groups on Xbox Live. Using the Xbox One itself or various Xbox apps, players can now set up and manage their own "Clubs," complete with membership systems, a common chat room, and a Facebook-like social feed for sharing screenshots, clips, and status updates.

Targeting an April launch, developers will soon be able to access a new tool, or application programming interface (API), that will let them leverage Xbox Live's Club system in their games, according to official Xbox developer documentation leaked to Windows Central. Developers will be able to use the API to create structures such as clans and multiplayer guilds, and then sync them to Xbox Live.

We don't have a full description of exactly what will be accessible in the Club API, but it could provide a huge boost to games such as Destiny and Elite Dangerous, which have traditionally lacked decent in-game clan support. Hopefully, the new Club API will allow you to view community chat systems, invite members, and create "Looking For Group" ads in-game, so you can create scheduled play dates without having to jump out of the game and into an app.

It's easy to speculate on how Clubs could evolve as an API, as well. Perhaps eventually it will include branding and logos, maybe even pick up an open web API for creating Clan sites and beyond. Microsoft will likely announce the Club API and its features in the coming weeks, ahead of the planned April release timeframe.

What a fantastic feature! Hopefully this will also reduce potty-mouthed pre-teens sounding off if their coms are converted into text to be screen grabbed for evidence!

Arena and Fan-Inspired Feature Updates Start Rolling Out to Insiders This Month

Starting this month, we’re rolling out several feature updates inspired by your feedback to select Xbox Insider members. These features will begin appearing over the next few weeks, and your use of these features and feedback around them helps shape our release plans to the broader Xbox community moving forward. Gamers are at the center of everything we do at Xbox – we value your opinions and want you to help evolve the Xbox experience. Over the past few months, we’ve released brand new features to Insiders including Beam broadcasting through the Guide on Xbox One and the Game bar on Windows 10, the Beam app to watch streams on Xbox One, Game Mode on Windows 10, and a preview of Xbox Game Pass. In addition to adding exciting new features, the team has been hard at work continuing to update existing features based on what we hear from you at Xbox Feedback. Below is a summary of what’s starting to ship over the next month to select Xbox Insiders.

Arena on Xbox Live

World of Tanks fans will be able to participate in new tournaments on their Xbox One, created by ESL and powered by Arena on Xbox Live.
Discover tournaments from your Xbox One or Xbox app on Windows 10, get notifications when your match is ready, jump directly into your match on the Xbox One, enjoy automatic results reporting, and show off the results on your activity feed.

Profile and Activity Feed

Custom gamerpics are finally here! From your console, Windows 10 PC, or mobile phone, update your gamerpic with a custom image. We’re excited to bring this top fan-requested feature to Xbox Live and expect it to be in preview longer than other features to ensure it’s great for everyone when released.
New ‘Join broadcast’ button in your profile, one of the many ways to access the game stream of someone broadcasting their gameplay.
Your profile will display your Arena tournament history and upcoming tournaments.
In your Activity Feed, we’re adding the ability to hide individual posts, pin posts to the top of your feed, and filter posts by friends, games or Clubs.

Clubs and Looking for Group (LFG)

When you create an LFG post, as the owner you will be able to see new vetting cards that include hero stats from gamers interested in joining your party. Hero stats are contextual to the game you’re playing, showing you relevant stats like kill/death ratio, rank, or score.
Achievement hunters, this one is for you! You will be able to search LFG posts from the Achievements tab, related to the Achievement you’re trying to finish.
We’re adding the number of open LFG posts to the Game Hub and Club Hub headers.
Have you made a successful LFG post that you want to create again? Now you can see previous LFG posts that you have created, participated or shown interest in, and can copy them to create new posts.
When creating an LFG post, see all the recent tags you’ve used and easily select them.
Club owners can upload custom images for their Club logo and Club background. Just like custom gamerpics, we expect this to be in preview longer than other features to ensure it’s great for everyone when released.
Club owners and admins will be identified and labeled in their text posts to better help them stand out and manage their community.
Club owners and admins can pin a post at the top of their Club feed.

My Games and Apps, and Settings

In ‘My Games and Apps,’ we’re adding the ability to filter your game library by platform – Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Captive Portal support for wireless internet is coming to Xbox One
, which allows for Wi-Fi authentication through a browser. Great for colleges, hotels, or public Wi-Fi locations.
In the Settings, we’re adding the ability to select Kinect auto-zoom for Beam and Twitch broadcasts, as well as for the Skype app.
On the Xbox app for Windows 10, we’re adding the option to select the audio input and output sources for Party chat.

These features will appear for select Xbox Insiders over the next few weeks. We look forward to hearing more from you, and are excited to update our features based on your feedback. Thank you!

That's a good idea. But we really need folders that we can manage ourselves.
