Fan-Inspired Feature Updates Start Rolling Out To Xbox Live Today

Now, here’s what’s starting to roll out today on Xbox One:

Profile and Activity Feed

New ‘Join broadcast’ button in your profile, one of the many ways to access the game stream of someone broadcasting their gameplay.

Image

In your Activity Feed, we’re adding the ability to hide individual posts, pin posts to the top of your feed, and filter posts by friends, games or Clubs.

Image

Clubs and Looking for Group (LFG)

When you create an LFG post, as the owner you will be able to see new vetting cards that include hero stats from gamers interested in joining your party. Hero stats are contextual to the game you’re playing, showing you relevant stats like kill/death ratio, rank, or score.
Achievement hunters, this one is for you! You will be able to search LFG posts from the Achievements tab, related to the Achievement you’re trying to finish.
We’re adding the number of open LFG posts to the Game Hub and Club Hub headers.
Have you made a successful LFG post that you want to create again? Now you can see previous LFG posts that you have created, participated or shown interest in, and can copy them to create new posts.
When creating an LFG post, see all the recent tags you’ve used and easily select them.
Club owners and admins will be identified and labeled in their text posts to better help them stand out and manage their community.
Club owners and admins can pin a post at the top of their Club feed.

My Games and Apps, and Settings

In ‘My Games and Apps,’ we’re adding the ability to filter your game library by platform – Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Voodoo Vince: Remastered gets 72% from IGN -

Voodoo Vince's action doesn't deviate much from the standard conventions of early 21st-century platformers, but its jazzy music and bizarre New Orleans look render it a memorable experience. With modernized textures, resolution, aspect ratio, and frame rate, this remastered version updates Vince for a new generation, and hopefully ensures he won't get buried like he was in his former incarnation as an Xbox exclusive.

Check the dashboard, apparently they're offering some accounts a year for £23.99.

I've just renewed for a month at £1.

I'm happy for it to expire if another offer like that turns up.

This is through the dashboard.

I'm trying to remember the name of a game. Coming to Xbox, but I think it's been on PC for a while. Looked like it played like Diablo. Free. Any ideas? I think it was due pretty soon.

EDIT: I literally googled what I just typed. Path of Exile. As you were.

Just checking - you know the add-on collection doesn't include the game?

Yup, thanks! I already have it but never started it. I think I got it in a bundle with something, or was it a Games with Gold thing? Either way it's in my ready to install, but I missed out on the DLC pack the last time it was available.

Ah, that's ok then. It's a great price for all the add-ons. I already bought Storm Island and the Porsche pack when they were in a sale, otherwise I'd be getting it too.

EDIT: I don't recall FH2 being GWG. It's not the FH2 Fast/Furious version is it? That was free for a while.

Oh I have the F&F one too. I have a feeling it came in one of those bundles with a controller. This is a sign that I have too many games :dread:

Wow Cities Skylines got a pretty good review (only one I can find so far)

http://www.windowscentral.com/cities-skylines-xbox-one-review
When it comes to the Xbox One version, I'm quite happy to say that Cities: Skylines already resides among my favorite games on the console, and I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of the rest of the game's DLC that's currently available on PC.

I am resoundingly impressed with how well the control schemes have translated to a controller, and it gives me hope that we could one day see more complex management-type games hit Xbox One, now that Cities: Skylines has shown us the way forward.

4.5/5

It's sitting on my hard drive waiting for me to get home. :datass:

Just found another:
https://www.gizorama.com/2017/review/welcome-to-the-mayors-office-cities-skylines-xbox-one-edition-review

Both newcomers and veterans will find something to love in Cities: Skylines Xbox One Edition. It's incredible menu and HUD combined with smooth graphics and addictive game play will keep you coming back and back again and make you forgot all about the sim genre disappointments of the past - You've found the Key to the City of Awesome.

5/5

http://www.icxm.net/x/review-cities-skylines-xbox-one-edition-paradox.html

As someone who has enjoyed the game on Steam, the Xbox One version of this game has surprised me by how brilliantly the developers have implemented it on the console. It was implemented so well that it has become my preferred way to play for the most part. Limitations of the console aside, the game elegantly scales to match the playstyle of most console gamers, without slowing down the system to the point where it becomes unplayable, opting to dynamically adjust the fidelity to ensure high performance.

Although the game does have some issues, mainly the inability to draw items in detail from further out, the gameplay experience and underlying systems have been tailor made for the controller. The control scheme was pretty easy to get into and before I knew it I was building like a seasoned player.

Cities: Skylines overall is one of, if not the best implementation of a Steam game on console, and Tantalus Media must be praised for their ingenuity overall. This might be the beginning of their move towards bringing bigger franchises to console in the future. My hope is for Tyranny.

Is the game for everyone? Well, that depends in the end, since the game does offer a challenge for each type of gamer while keeping it simple for the novice. It can use some adjustments, mainly in the time-lapse department as it can become quite slow off the bat. However, the game earns its stripes and is a must-have title on Xbox One this year.

10/10

Hopefully it paves the way for Planet Coaster.
