If anyone out there hasn't played it and doesn't mind admitting that fact (the shame!) then they're welcome to have it. :-)

I’ll have it please fellow Tricky if it’s still going spare?

The Dark Souls games? They're incredible, but require a great deal of patience as they're very difficult. The first game is one of my favourite games of all time.

You see this screen a lot.

You get better every time you fail, and part of the joy of the games is gradually managing to inch yourself a little further into the game. Taking down an enemy or boss that had previously bested you twenty times is a feeling that is quite incredible, and Dark Souls has hundreds of those moments. But yeah, pad throwingly difficult in places.

Ahhh I see.

I imagine it is a game I would put in the pile of "taking the piss and not fun" like have with cuphead.

May pick it up cheap somewhen to give it a try, I think it is in the game pass so could play there if I keep the pass past this month.

You should definitely give it a whirl. There's a self contained tutorial style level, complete with boss right at the start. It's a good test to see whether you have the perseverance required or if you'll write it off as attritional bullshit.

Awesome I don't have it, it is a nice quirk of the android app where if you can't buy it from the Xbox one store you just see a "play on Xbox one " option...... Daft ass app!

You dont need to play 1 or 2, I hated 2, got really frustrated with 1, but 3 I have played about 7 billion times, same as bloodbourne. You'll die. A lot. But its never from the game being gooseberry fool or bad, its from you not being good enough.

It's £12 for the the third game at Tesco at the moment. I'd still recommend the first one though, it's incredible and aside from some frame rate issues in one location it still holds up really well.

I loved the second game too.

What MHTL said, get 3, £12 is a bargain. Do it. And stream it.

£8 at CEX.

I'd lend you mine, but I've lent too many games and never had them returned.
