The PS4 Pro is £350. MS would be mad to price it any higher than that.

I think they will match the PS4 price, but there's a chance they will be more aggressive and undercut Sony by going in at £300.

$400.

Whatever that will work out at in Pounds and Euros is anyone's guess at this stage.

I would be surprised if MS could launch the Scorpio at a price that matches the PS4 Pro. I've not kept up with the rumours, but I believe it is generally thought that the new machine will be significantly more powerful than the Sony one?

Yes it is, I've been pricing 4K HDR TV's seems to be lots of them for around €1000, which is very good to hear. :D

I reckon it'll be €399/£350 but could be £375 cos of Brexit.

If it's because of Brexit then it will be £550. ;)

Murmurings on GAF today from a Windows Central guy:
Pinch of salt and all that but Jez Corden from Windows Central has been saying on Twitter that he has some Scorpio info which he says is 'nice', I would imagine an article must be incoming.

On mobile so can't link them but with GDC happening just now should we expect some new info..... soon?

Scorpio is definitely a True 4K-focused machine. This is not a half-hearted effort.

...and previously sceptical insider 'Matt':
I think you all should start hearing more soon. gooseberry fool is getting out there...

I would definitely agree it's not half hearted.

If you've been teased with the same information I've been teased with, "not half hearted" is putting it mildly.

If this is that powerful, then I wouldn't be shocked for it to end up roughly the same price of the PS3 (£425). Even if you remove the fact it's not dealing with something as forward thinking as fitting a Blu Ray player, you've still got to factor in inflation, Brexit, and like the PS3 it apparently being at the cutting edge graphically.

I'd eat my left bollock if it had any major game running 4K on ultra! Madness!

If it is that big a step up you'd have to wonder just how long will they stay supporting the current Xboxone.

It'll certainly be interesting to see just how powerful a machine they can make and have it still be affordable.
Obviously they could just go completely insane and bring out a 2017 version of the Neo-Geo for £1200 and stuff in some awesome parts but I have a feeling they won't do that. I have to admit I would like them to try though.

I'd guess until the Xbox after Scorpio launches, whenever that may be.

I've heard that the skin on the scrotal sack is surprisingly thick and will likely take some time to breach, without the right tools. It might be best to involve a friend for coaching / bleeds.

Windows Mixed Reality dev kits shipping this month

As we announced last year, we’re partnering with leading device makers including Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and 3Glasses on a wide range of headsets that pair with your Windows Mixed Reality-ready PC. These are the first mixed reality headsets to deliver built-in inside-out tracking, meaning there is no need to purchase or install external trackers or sensors in the wall. Moreover, you don’t need to bother with a complicated setup, just plug and play.

We’re also excited to share that Windows Mixed Reality experiences will light up on other devices over time, beyond desktop and Microsoft HoloLens. Our plan is to bring mixed reality content to the Xbox One family of devices, including Project Scorpio, in 2018.

3 important things there then

- Scorpio is part of the "Xbox One" family

- Microsoft's mixed reality devices are by HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer and Asus, not Oculus.

- VR may come to standard Xbox One too
