I want to buy an Xbox One X but the PS4 seems to have better exclusives.

If you have to choose one or the other I'd say the PS4 Pro would be the best choice for exclusives.

Played Assassin's since release so that I'd get used to it and better notice the difference.

Can honestly say I'm not seeing anything standout different.

Gears on the other hand, is definitely noticeable, I also like the HDR option to select split screen to see the HDR effect.

Although it really depends on the type of games you like, I'd personally say the PS4 has the way better and way more exclusives.

In 1080p? I've been thinking about buying this on the PC but hasn't yet dropped below the magical £10.

Yes?

Are the controllers with these regular pads?

My one the casing isn’t clipped together properly and is sharp where the plastic parts don’t meet correctly. Also the trigger seems to be impinging on it

I don’t really want to get the entire console swapped for just a controller but I also don’t want to send off just this controller to get a regular one back that might not be as good as the bundled one I have that’s broken

Looks like I’ve partially crashed the X too by doing a network transfer. The guide works but I’m frozen on the manage game screen no mater what I select from the guide

Just starting Forza 7 and never having played a recent Forza game I have no idea about prize crates and I assume the best milestone reward is always a new car?

Any advice would be super handy.

Xbox recovered :shifty: it black screened after 5-10 minutes with a load of notifications. Going to leave it off and hopefully it’ll be ready by the weekend.

Those are loot crates. If you visit the Forza hub app you can get free credits every week. The Hub usually installs itself whenever you install a forza game. It’s like a reward system you can level up your forza profile with (the more forms games you play the more XP you get and the higher your level. Higher levels get better weekly rewards)

Thanks.
I opened a few I got for free and get the basic concept that you get cards that you can play to get better rewards but is it better to spend the credits I have on loot crates or plough it into more cars? Which gives better value?

I haven’t played 7 myself (I have a disc copy if anyone reading this wants to buy it :shifty: )

I imagine buying the cars is best? From what I’ve read the crates have clothes in, and gambling is generally a losers game so you’d be better using your credits on cars than gambling for them on the off chance that you win one (are they even in crates?) and it’s a car you actually wanted in the first place

That's the way I see it as well. I've only done the first cup in a Mini and won all the races without using any bonuses and leveled up twice (chose a new car both times) so now have 3 cars. I do like that the AI cars are people on your friends list (this is obviously old news to most here) even if the last time I added someone was about 6 years ago :slol: .

That friends list drivers thing is pretty hollow. At least in my experience. It just seems to be regular AI but they’ll pluck names from your friends list, your forza car club, or randoms. It doesn’t seem to affect the actual AI driver outside of that.

What’s your gamer tag? I’ll add you.

Also forzas have car clubs and there’s always been a GRcade one. If someone hasn’t made one already then you should get on that! You can add cars to a shared garage so you can share yours and borrow others.

My experience of Xbox One controllers has been horrible. The exact problem you're describing was there on a pad I bought recently (a white Xbox One controller). That was a replacement to my actual controller which broke within a year (the right analogue went increasingly squeaky then just... broke) and THAT had been a replacement to the pad I got with my console, which wouldn't accept my official headset because the input part was too high.

AFAIK the Xbox One X pad is a regular, reskinned model.

Thanks! My day one OG controller isn’t so bad, the sticks are even still as they were and not worn down, the controller just randomly disconnects from the console from time to time

I’ll try contacting the store tomorrow and hopefully they’ll just let me swap the controller so my game transfers haven’t been a waste of time :x

Yep, apparently it needs a beefy PC to run well but it had a very low resolution on Xbox One and that’s now gone. Seriously looks incredible.

Best looking games on my X1X are now:
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Quantum Break
Assassins Creed Origins
Elite Dangerous
Gears of War 4
Halo 5
Final Fantasy 15

I’ve yet to try Diablo but Ghost Recon, Elder scrolls online while being crisp don’t offer much more although I haven’t played them a lot.

While not out yet I reckon Sea of Thieves will be the best looking game on X1 when it launches, it’s just gorgeous.

Titanfall 2 got patched to iron out resolution bug and performance so I’ll try it tonight.

Wouldn't say I have a beefy PC, probably lower side of middle-tier but can run Quantum Break on full settings fine.

Thats what DF said about it recently. Starting it start again for this play through, the time effects are far more effective with the added clarity.
