Third and final Chosen (Warlock) eliminated :toot:

Don't know if its because I 'got gud' or just because all my squad are Colonel rank but I found it fairly easy compared to fighting the Assassin and Hunter, especially the former.

Also, the Templar class is incredible at melee combat; just had a Chrysallid spawn next to my Ranger so used the Templars exchange move to swap places with the Ranger, then rend to instant kill it and then parry to block an attack from a nearby Andromedon 8-)

Nice. It’s when you get blademaster and great weapons. They come towards you, free swipe, then they take a pop, another free swipe.

Grabbed this in the Switch sale for £3.99 after reading through Preezy’s thread  fired it up quickly and played a little of the tutorial and it looks and plays great by the looks of it.

Is playing in Rookie mode too easy?

If you are new to it, maybe not. No harm in trying and seeing how it goes.

If you are playing rookie, I’d be tempted to turn ‘Ironman’ on, I.e. no saves. You need a bit of peril and pain to experience xcom.

Glad to have contributed to your purchase in some small way, £4 for such a great game is just ridiculous really.

And yeah I'm surprised how well it runs on Switch - the load times aren't amazing but everything else runs nice and smooth, a very impressive port.

Good luck in your journey with it, I hope you manage to keep more of your troops alive than I have so far :slol:

I dabbled with the Switch version and I liked what I was seeing. It’s on my list of games to play eventually
