Sounds like you're long-sighted.

Yeah I am! Do you think that could be the cause of the problem? I do love Sim City but I really can't justify blindness for it! Same with XCom 2 - I would buy it if it was on consoles. :(

On the side note, Facebook told me yesterday that 8 years ago we were on the PG meetup! Wowzers!

The silly neighbourhood vegetable.

Seems about right. Feels like a lifetime ago.

For your eye trubs, obviously wear your glasses. And blink more.

There's a small patch for this out now, unfortunately it's only a minor patch that just fixes a few errors that crash the game, no real performance fixes yet.

It's a start at least.

It also makes the loading times even worse.

Game was working fine before the patch but has crashed at least once per day since, I think I've also got that unfinishable final mission bug I've been hearing about.

I know the game is intentionally unbalanced against the player, but strawberry float Sectopods, they're far too unbalanced. That weapon plus 3 moves per turn?

Ugh. Sad to hear about the PC troubles. I mean it really does suck, but also means any possible consideration about console versions got shunted even further back.

It is rather surprising that a game that was supposed to be built purely for the PC is so badly optimised for PC. It's more like a bad PC port of a console game at times.
More often than not the damage indicator that appears will be empty so I have no idea how much damage has been inflicted, or lately I've been having issues with no animations happening at all, my units just suddenly lose some health and I have no idea who the hell they were attacked by.

It's an excellent game, way better than the first firaxis xcom IMO so I'm glad to see that everyone's going to get a chance to play it
