I would have bought it but I managed to get the Wii version last year and I started that. I'm going to restart this on Sunday as I'm pretty lost with my current file. Plus I can go through Gaur Plain again

Was hoping to get this tomorrow from Argos but it appears they won't have any till next week, so disappointed as I thought it was great on the Wii.

35 bill? Jesus, I don't mean to brag but I got mine for £26 on the game collection. I think it's up a little now, but still cheaper than £35.

It seems like not too long ago when I was playing this on the Wii, and it's such a huge game. As much as I loved it, I can't see myself playing through this again right now.

I decided to go back and give my old save file a go before starting again and I seem to be getting back into it. I was at Eryth Sea and I'm just about to head to Alcamoth.

I still need to get the hang of using the Mondao to change the future and craft gems but, overall, I'm really feeling it!

Eryth sea has one of the best tracks in the game. Very sad, stuck in my head a bit.

And the night time change was amazing. If I remember right, I might be thinking about Satorl Marsh.

Eryth Sea is indeed a sad track which is why I was a bit hesitant to let that be my starting point but I only had about 40 minutes of exploration left before I was satisfied about moving on.

I just listened to Satorl Marsh (Night) on YouTube and it is indeed amazing. It was a great follow on from the magnificent Gaur Plain.

Finally got my signature weapon and loving it so far. Not really sure what I'm doing with most of the combat but I'm sure I'll get it in time. Looks lovely, plays great and just feels big.

Gutted that there isn't a special edition N3DS for this.
ShopTo have a bundle of Xenoblade and Blue or Black N3DS XL for £189.85 at the moment. Anyone seen any better bundles?

About 3 hours in, and rather enjoying it. Combat still a bit of a mystery and I'm dying frequently, but it's not punishing in any way. The story is rather engaging, and I'm caring about characters already. I don’t think I would have got much joy out of this on the Wii, but as a handheld, interactive book, it’s engaging and I immersive.

It reminds me a tiny bit of Ni No Kuni, especially the combat, but then as these are the only 2 JRPGs I've played in the last 20 years, I'm unsure of how that statement will be perceived by hardcore JRPG fans, so apologies for any offence.

8 hours in 1 and a bit days , it must be good. Really loving the battles now and the sheer scale of it all. Utterly amazing setting.

I await your impressions as you get further into it. It was definitely the game to revive my love of JRPG's.

Finally got it today, can't believe how good it looks compared to the Wii version. Only an hour in but it feels like it's never been away, now if only I could find somewhere with a Schulk amiibo at a reasonable price.

Watched the trailer for this on the eShop.

"This video contains scenes which may be considered spoilers"

Shows Fiora being killed inside 30 seconds :simper:

That trailer had far too many spoilers/potential spoilers based on my current progress. It still did a great job of making me want to play the game though.

I've now arrived at Alcamoth and saved the worker who was supposed to repair the lighthouse. I'm going to take a break for tonight but the combat is still as amazing as ever

Good thing I'm here! No? Anyone?

For an extra £30 the xl is a no brainer imo. Much better designed than the standard model and not having faceplates is an advantage imo - less money wastage on something you will never look at whilst gaming.

I do want to get xenoblade, but may go for luigis mansion 2 first, after majoras mask is completed ofcourse!

I've got the regular 3DS XL and have had it since launch. No way I could go back to a regular sized 3DS after that.

Yep, its just the right size and the larger screen really immerses you into the game. Yes, the ppi is lower, but with that gorgeous 3d effect its not so much of an issue.

Replaying ocarina of time and the gyro controls now work with 3d fully on! I wish nintendo remade super mario 64 for the 3ds - that would be an absolute dream.
